Alright, I've had it with the whole worshiping Clark Stepp. This kid is not as good as you people let on for him to be. He doesn't play team ball, he is self centered. Yes, he can shoot, but shooting doesn't make you a good player. There are many characteristics that combine to make a good player. Im not saying that Clark isn't good, but he is not the best player in the 14th IMO.
Now to get off my bandwagon.....

I think that the 14th region is in fact the strongest region in the mountains.
For the mere fact that the 14th contains some of the best teams in the area: Hazard, JBS, Breathitt and others.

JBS would make any region number 1.

First of all the 14th is probably the strongest....the 13th is GOOD but Id still say that the 14th has more teams that are really good tho. Second of all, just because JBS is in a region it would not make it #1....JBS lost to PCC by 3, and Hazard by 16. Those two are 14th region teams, so therefore it makes them stronger teams in that region....I dont understand why JBS fans brag about their team SO much...Hazard should be the #1 team in the 14th...but it is a lot of teams TOGETHER making a whole region strong. Lastly, as far as Stepp goes " The 13th or the 16th don't have the likes of a Clark Stepp. Total domination. Nobody can stop him, (he said so himself on WKCB one night after a game) and according to his Uncle (Coach Stepp) he's the best point guard in the state", I believe he is good...but man why brag about him so much again. Stepp, and Tate Cox are good, but so is Hicks of Hazard, and Proffitt from SL. JBS fans believe no matter what that their team is the best and idk why. Hate to break it to you JBS.....you are not....remember All A?

to come off this i say 13th is the best hands down and will only get stronger when harlan county high school is built because then u have all them exiciting freshman that cumberland and cawood to combine together they have a little bit of eveything thye got shooters,rebounders, and n my opinion 1 of the best shot blockers in the class scotty sepe and hes not the best player but they are working hard on this kid from cumberland hes determined to be the best you just dont know why
