Classic Shooters of the 14th
#61
You must have not played us this year then. Clark is only a Jr. and when he is gone Client will rule the 14th region.
#62
Yeah I didn't play you all this year. If you can read my post I already stated that I played in college. LOL that was 10 years ago when there was some real talent in the 14th.
#63
im pretty sure i just said he played golf at EKU, anyway if you didn't play in the 15th then you still should know. he led the state in 3pt fgm, 3pt fga, leading scorer 33.4 ppg, im pretty sure next to richie farmer he's pretty far up the ladder
#64
I'm pretty sure he played on a team that went 11-16 so he could prolly do what he wanted.
#65
11-16? i dont know where you get your info, but its obviously wrong! who exactly did you play for?
#66
97-98 they were 11-16 that's what it says under khsaa stats unless he played 98-99
#67
Listen . I know formerallamerican11 and if anyone knows basketball he knows basketball. He averaged 35 a game in high school and was a NAIA All American. He would pop it in your face from 30 feet out and drain it! He never talked smack and just played basketball! Do some research! And I will agree with him when he talks about the talent level. Not even close in the 14th and the state for that matter! Hint..They called him Kid! Not only a great high school/college player but a better friend!

I thought it was Clint. Who is Client?
#69
Thanx for the props Playboy but you don't have to defend me. LOL I have never heard of Client. How you say that?

formerallamerican11 Wrote:Brad Morris never heard of him. Where did he end up going to college? Wasn't Conrad Skidmore from Powell? Could he shoot? Played against him in college but he didn't do much.

Brad Morris was an amazing shooter. What everyone is stating about him is true. I can't speak for all the other schools in the state, but he was truely great. He would pull up about 5 feet from the baseline and bank a 15 footer all the time. Brad didn't play college basketball beacuse he had problems with his heels throughout high and middle school. Golf was his best sport though, lowest round average most of his senior year at eku. As for Conrad...he was a great scorer, but not a great shooter. I don't know who you are and I believe that you probably are you of the best, but Brad is def the best shooter that I have seen.
#71
I never said he couldn't shoot because I have never saw him play. Maybe I just missed him. 98 was my senior year in college so I might have missed him the transition from college to the real world.
#72
JustTrying has spent some time around powell county. i dont really care about formerallamerican's history because i too played NAIA and i too was an all-american. however i do not feel the need to flaunt it and make it my nickname on a high school sports forum. and yes as far as pure shooter brad morris is one of the best thats come around
#73
Lol, O.k.
#74
im not sure but my only guess would be that he's from russell. and you are too playboy but i dont really know thats a guess

Keep guessing..Why do you say Russell? What makes you pick Russell? Is it because you think me and FAA11 are such champs and winners? Very understandable.. :1: :lmao:
#78
well i guess you made it obvious,

If you believe that, then YOUR ON DRUGS. This is Eastern Kentucky and everything and drugs are bad but Clark Stepp is not the future of basketball. You could take any scrub and have him shoot 90% of your teams shots and he'll eventually put those Stepp numbers up. Operation UNITE was at the WYMT and they was wanting to help out people, if you really believe what you just said then contact UNITE.
#82
clark stepp is a ball hog and always will be
#83
You mean that other people thinks he shots to much. I wonder what his teamates think about it?
#84
I'm not from Russell and why all the uproar. I couldn't play dead in a western. Like I said I had never heard of the guy no big deal.
#85
Chad Allen from Knott Central

I agree I've never been impressed with Stepp at all, but anyway back to the topic....

Does anyone Remember Matt Hurt who played at Cordia in 01' or 02', He could flat out stroke the three. He wasn't a great player as far as being an all around player but could shoot the ball as good as anyone and had great form and rotation when he shot the ball. Thats one that comes to mind at the top of my head. I think he played at Alice Lloyd a year or two but i'm not positive about that.
