Congrats to the Tigers!!
Neither team played great, but the Tigers came out with the win!
The Tigers had to hustle in this one, despite the score, it was a much tougher game for the Tigers than the 15th Region tourney. Tigers trailed almost all of the game and at the end of each of the first three quarters, but came through to win the fourth when it counted! Good job guys.

It took you that long to realize it? Redneck's looks much more professional than yours so that's why I posted here.

Congrats to the Tigers, if I can get away from the fiance for a night I'll try to make it to the game. Represent the 15th well.

Sounded like a great game. It is possible both of these teams could make it to the Sweet 16.

Great job Tigers!!
Niether team played well, but the Tigers (even though they trailed after each of the first three quarters) won the fourth quarter and took the win!!
Can you imagine Grimm with 0 points, Landon 0-1 from 3 point land, Van 1-4 from 3 point land, and J.D. 1 of 6 from 3 point land, and they still come up with the win! And Elliott Co. took 15 more shots than the Tigers!
And can you believe Bundy with 4-5 from the field and 3-4 FT's. Way to go Blake!
This was a tough game for the Tigers and as late as midway through the 4th, it was just as possible for Paintsville to win by 20 as to go home with a 10 point loss.
Congrats to both teams, it is just too bad that they both had to play each other in the first round!
GO TIGERS!!

Would have to agree with you on that one!
But anything can happen in March!

What grade are the twins in FBALL? They both posted double doubles on the night.

Sophomores. Elliotts startin 5 are all sophs.

Congrats Paintsville!

Redneck answered it for me.

To begin with Elliot Co. is one heck of a team that have great shooters especially the Ferguson kid. Not to mention the Faulkner twins as well. Basically Elliot Co. controlled the tempo of the whole game and practically led most. However, Paintsville kept it close and stepped up their defense in the 4th quarter. Landon Slone was the MVP of the game, however I thought Ferguson from Paintsville had a better game. Congrats to Paintsville on representing the 15th Region.

This team will be very good for the next couple of years. I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Ferguson kid may be the front-runner for Mr. Basketball the time he becomes a Senior. I think he had 15 in the first quarter.

I look for the title to come back to the mtns, either hazard or P-ville
But anyhow GO P-VILLE REPRESENT!!!!!!!!!WOOOO

Who will it come down most likely in the 16th? Rose Hill and Elliott, possibly Russell, who are the better teams.

How did Fergusons ankle hold up?

It will most likely come down to Russell and Elliott Co. Russell won the earlier matchup at Elliott Co by 3. They play again at Russell the last game of the regulars season. Ashland is probably right behind these two.
Rose Hill is not physically strong enough to compete for the Regional title yet. Their two best players are Freshman. They are probably a year of two away.

The way he was shooting the ball in the first half I dont think anyone in the gym thought he had a problem with it. However, I noticed in the second half he seemed to run a little funny on it. Oh well, he is great ball player and will only improve in the years to come.

They said it was a pretty bad sprain. It does not suprise me if it started to bother him more as the game went on. He is a fun player to watch.

Well....OK....I think we had decided that there would be no excuses needed in this one!!!!
I want to thank the Tigers for keeping me from having to eat "crow"!!!
Elliot shoots really well, but man do they set a lot of illegal screens!!!! At least 25 in this game alone!!! Got called for it only once!!!
But anyway, Paintsville was able to hang around and with about 4 minutes to go, you could just watch as Elliot's legs went to jello! They had about a 12 rebound advantage til then...maybe more. They couldn't even get a look for a three!!! Paintsville proved to be the much more determined and disciplined team tonight.
Congrats, Tigers!!!
Elliot, you will get to the top soon....just not yet.
Not saying the Tigers are at the top, just a more seasoned team right now.
