I agree, but he made some good moves with the ball when he got it. I think he could be a lot better than he is, but he has some work to do.

Respectable game for the Panthers with Harmon out sick. Coach Williams will use these games to get them ready for the district.

Congrats to Paintsville....drove down to see this one. Pikeville had a lot of oppertunities to convert on baskets but failed to, but #10 kept them in the game all night with his 3 point shots. I felt Paintsville could've won the game by a lot more than what they did, they had them on the ropes but never finished it off and allowed them to get back into it. The game was close to being even with fouls, but Paintsville did lead with two technicals to Pikeville's one....anyway, good luck to the Tigers tomorrow night.

Paintsville should have won this game by more, but once again they failed to put the game away. IDK what it's gonna take for these boys to realize that when you let teams like Pikeville hang around, you are gonna be in for a fight til the very end. Paintsville had their chances to put the game away in the 3rd quarter but didn't, had their chances again in the 4th and didn't. They have got to get that killer mentality or they are gonna have a rough time from here on out. As for the refs, OMG!!!!! They are horrible, Sammy (the African American) is usually pretty consistent and the best one, but tonight he was horrible, Mike Walker was his usual self, terrible, the other did alright, he never made any bad calls, but he did miss a few on both teams. Ah, we all know we got the worst refs in the state so I guess there aint ne sense in talkin about it. As for Daniel Harmon, I hope he makes a speedy recovery, but I don't think he would have helped that much, Paintsville still would have won. Paintsville was without their usual 6th man Daniel Meade tonight as well.

You really don't think he would have helped that much? Isn't he their leading scorer?

No I don't. I seen him play against Paintsville the first time they played and he didn't impress me at all. If he is their leadin scorer then I'm very shocked. He is athletic don't get me wrong, but I didn't see anything out of him the first meeting that would make me think different.

I thought he was, but I may be wrong. I know he is a huge contributor to the team but if anybody knows his numbers they can post them. I was just surprised to hear someone say that he wouldn't have mattered, but I've not seen either game between the two teams so I don't really know.

I didn't say he wouldn't have mattered, I just said I didn't he would helped that much, Paintsville still would have won. I don't have a clue what his numbers are, maybe someone from Pike Vegas can help us out.

Clevenger is the team's leading scorer with 15.9ppg.
Harmon's absence was a big factor. Once Paintsville employeed the matchup zone, they needed Harmon's ballhandling to break it down and distribute the ball. Looked like a totally different team without him tonight from the game on Tuesday vs. Phelps.

Didn'y you already have a clue in realizing how much Pikeville missed Harmon? I wasn't comparing Phelps to Paintsville. I was comparing how Pikeville played without Harmon as compared to the other night. He made a difference.

To be honest....I don't think it had that much to do with this game. harmon is a good player, might have made it even closer, but the outcome would have been the same, JMO
I think Paintsville only had 2 of their top 7 that practicede both Wed. and Thur. So honestly, if both teams were at 100%, Paintsville by 12+, But I think their missing players and illnesses pretty much evened out....We won, yea!
