in the Lexington Herald, he said a black player was taunted last year against Allen Central while shooting a free throw, and the scorebook presented said the kid never attempted a free throw in that game. Ned Pillersdork has very little place in society, much less raising needless hell for a basketball game..

Players and the school admitted that a vote was NEVER taken to "not" play Allen Central, as Ned Pillersdorf had claimed in reports released earlier that started this whole thing.

All this is BS, David needs to get a new coach, bottom line! Let the kids just play!!!!!!!

kudos to the David School leaders for finally setting the record straight. So basically, Pillersdorf is a LIAR (which, if anybody knows the man, this is nothing new), and he LIED about his kids, and had Allen Centrals fans been the type (which they are not, they are some very classy fans), he could have put his kids in harms way or possible danger so he could make the papers, ESPN the Magazine, and get his lousy name out there. This made a prominent sports magazine that used his lies to stink up the pages with. He should be fined severely, relieved of his duties, and sent to Iraq to fight....without a weapon. See where his mouth gets him then. And this is supposed to be a role model for those kids? He's pathetic. Truly a piece of garbage. Anybody that would flat out LIE and USE his kids so he could support his lies, serves as absolutely NO benefit to our society. But I admire and respect the leaders at the David School.

DAVID - Trying to squash the negativity surrounding their basketball game tonight with Allen Central High School, the leadership at the David School wanted to set the record straight today, in hopes of being instruments of peace, rather than catalyst for controversy.
Earlier today, Administrator Emma Kriz released a statement, saying the David School never voted to boycott their game with the Rebels, claiming head coach Ned Pillersdorf acted on his own and that the taunting allegations claimed by Pillersdorf were false.
Pillersdorf had claimed that the players had taken a vote to boycott their game with Allen Central.
Kriz says that simple was not true.
She indicates that the players were asked during practice earlier this month whether they wanted to play Allen Central or South Floyd. Since some of the players come from the South Floyd area, they responded to play the Raiders.
The players also told their principal that the confederate flag, racism or taunting was never discussed.
Pillersdorf, who wasnât at todayâs press conference, had claimed he had spoken to the players about those issues and that his team was taunted by fans at last yearâs Allen Central game.
The Floyd County Board of Education, nor the David School, have found any evidence to support his claims.
Kriz said it was unfortunate that the David Schoolâs players had been, âmisrepresentedâ, and she referred to Pillersdorf as being the catalyst for much of the controversy.
Tonightâs game will be rescheduled for a later date, in hopes that the issue will be put to rest.

just watched this on WYMT the David administrator and the players where adament that the taunting didnt happen one person that was noticably absent from the interviews was that nerd Pillasdorf what a jerk .I seen him one time in a Salyersville convenient store spill a whole pot of coffee and just walked out the doors never told the clerk or anything I know thats trivial ,but i thought what a jerk

Knew this was coming... I just knew they where not gonna play.
01-19-2007, 08:47 PM
Well, I seen the interview on wymt, and davids players said they are wanting 2 play achs, so pillarsdorf is just BLOWING this whole thing up. WHAT IS HIS REASON FOR ALL THIS NONSENCE!!!!!!!!!

Please folks realize that David School is more that just a basketball team. I can remember when previous adminstrator & founder Danny Greene was name as a "Point of Light" by President George H.W. Bush many years ago; this schools gives opportunity to those whom might not otherwise succeed in life. Many kids whom dropped out of high schools such as AC, Pburg, or even SF have attended David School and obtained thier GED/diploma. David School is an asset to Kentucky. Please do not judge David School based on Ned's actions. Dont blame this on the kids. Ned, is a MAJOR LEAGUE liberal, I expect Jesse Jackson to be seen anytime at Ned's office..

From what I remember last year, David had no black players on their basketball team. I think this is the first year this kid has played for David - or at least he didn't play last year. Nonetheless, it just goes to prove what this "so-called" coach is up to. It really is disappointing for AC - all the kids and others who have had to put up with his nonsense. I hope David gets some funding for their basketball program and gets a new coach for next season.

Since everyone already knows what type of individual that Ned Pillersdorf is, why does his wife Janet Stumbo keep getting elected to political office. She is a judge and basicly endorses what her husband does and ultimately shares his same views and practices. Are these the type of people we want running our government?

Good point; I will give you my opinion: A lot of people who vote for her are from other counties as far away as Boyd. IMO they vote for her last name, that is why she continues to use it IMO. Many of these people do not realize she is Mrs. Ned Pillersdorf. The fact that she was recentley elected again was because she chose a good time to run due to a lot of cercumstances I wont discuss. Had this Rebel Flag issue been raised earlier it would have cost her MANY votes here locally.

Very pathetic situation this is. But its very good of the David School to come out like this and deny all the rumors. And Pillersdorf needs to be canned and go back to New York!!

Attention, Ned has to love the attention of fighting for the little guy, even if he has to create the fight. I agree to the fact that the players should not take the heat and ridicule for what Ned has done. In fact it would be a wonderful thing if instead they gained the support of the public. Another question, why is the administration just now coming out with their opposition to this? Keep us updated Jammin Jamey.

Pacman Wrote:I have a newfound respect for David School Administration. With this statement, we can conclude that Coach Pillersdorf lied and cannot be trusted. That is more offensive than any flag could ever be. He misrepresented the David School, could have possibly put his players in a dangerous situation in their own community, and completely backstabbed a school that was generous enough to let his team use their floor for some home games last season. If I were a coach of another team, I would not want to play the David School while Coach Pillersdorf is at the helm. Who knows what situation he could come up with next? He can't be trusted and is not a very good example to the students of the David School.
IF the statement is TRUE, then I agree with you 100%. In fact, if the statement is true, Pillersdorf should be fired as head coach. That sort of thing should not be tolerated by any administration. No coach should ever be allowed to use students for their own personal gain, other than to win of course.

Both Allen Central and David School principals say their students have gotten hate mail and threats from outsiders over the controversy surrounding Allen Central's rebel mascot, so both felt it was better not to play Friday night.
"The administration did not necessarily feel they would be safe, you never know who's gonna show up," said Allen Central High Principal Lorena "Sis" Hall.
The controversy surrounding the Allen Central-David School game started when David School coaches accused Allen Central students of waiving a rebel flag near the David players, including a minority player, at last year's game. David coaches said they didn't want to play Allen Central this year because of it. But Friday, David players said the incident didn't happen.
"I was at the game and don't remember seeing anything like that," Robinson said.
"I specifically addressed the members of the basketball team, and even redirected a question to our black player. The team stated they had no problem playingo playing the game," said David School Player Alex Hall.
Both sides say they didn't create the rebel flag controversy and are upset it's grown this big.

Today's Lexington Herald-Leader reported that Pillersdorf said Allen Central students waved a Confederate flag at his team, which included a different black player.
http://www.kentucky.com/mld/kentucky/new...504998.htm
A different black player? More "new" info spewed from Pillersdorf mouth as he continues to avoid the truth.
He also is quoted as saying that he had received reports that he was no longer the coach, although the school had not made a decision on that matter yet. He also didn't back away from his previous statement that his team had voted to boycott the game.
Now who are you gonna believe, a lawyer or a Franciscan Nun? Really?
BeaverCreekConnection made a good point about how his wife continues to be elected to offices, yet doesn't receive local support. She lost by a wide margin here in Floyd County in her last election, yet won her post with strong support in other counties.
Honestly, I believe Ned wants to run for a statewide office and that's why he's looking for the publicity, so he can play off of that to his benefit. He knows that he stands a snowballs chance in Hati's of winning a local election in Floyd County, so why not stir this pot and use it for a statewide race because people away from this area are liberal enough to see it his way.
Too bad the nun exposed him for a liar. I bet he didn't see that coming.

Sad thing is, if he runs for a state office, people away from here will misunderstand this whole ordeal, or he will turn it around as trying to "help the kids" and "fight racism in Kentucky" or something to that effect. Getting his name out there could HELP him, oddly enough. If he lies about minor things, what makes you think he won't tell voters that have no idea about the situation that he was doing it for GOOD reason.
Not that I agree with ACHS and their flag/mascot, but I'm just saying... Ned got his name out there -- he succeeded, even if it was at the expense of his players.
Politics are complicated!

Nobody would do nething at this game if it was played. It was probably just a bunch of students saying ignorant stuff to try and make the players mad, but they wouldnt do nething.

david school should be ashamed to cause all of this trouble then, cancel the game. i think that it should be a w for AC.

Maybe Ned got what he wanted after all. He got his name out all over the state, even the country. Maybe he didnt want to be the coach anymore but didnt want the bad PR over quiting. Was he looking for a replacement to coach Davids basketball team?

Pillersdorf will take any stage to futher his campain to get attetnion and get in the press. This is a non issue if he is not involved. East Ky would be better if he took his campains to another place.

i used to play for the david school but all the lies that he told i hope the team gets a new coach but best of luck to the david school
