Everybody is on here going crazy about how bad Hazard's pepsection is, so where does everyone think is the hardest place to play in the 14th??---In my opinion Memorial Gym---

The bottom line is if you play against Hazard,no matter if you are in the memorial gym or anywhere in the 14th, you will experience the meanest, toughest, and rudest crowd ever. The bulldog's pep section will be ruthless no matter what, and the players on the floor will just have to cope with that. If not the players going to the next level will be getting a rude awakening if you dont think that this doesnt happen in college or professional bball.

well since here lately according to everyone else powell has been playing dirty, im gonna say Rodney T. Clark memorial gymnasium. it is tough there, now that they have "Dirty" players. Memorial for hazard is also tough, as is perry's gym, they are like 119-18 since 97 or something like that.

i have been to 7 hazard games and the only time i seen there pep section go crazy was at the end of the valley game and at the start of the jbs game. they didnt get roudy in the pcc game they also dont do anything during girls games i dont think school spirt schould have anything to do with boys games or girls games some fans do

We went rowdy at both PCC games, JBS game, Wolfe county game, and as for the girls i've been to one game and that was the All A classic against Knott county and i can tell youy we were pretty rowdy.

Memorial Gym gets my vote!!!!

i was at the all a game didnt hear a thing from hazard i have to say though i love to watch a good hazard perry game and a hazard jbs game the bulldogs carry a very large pep section in big games just not like they us to
01-17-2007, 12:41 AM
the reason we dont carry as good a pep sect. is the price of admission is jacked up....we all used to get in free!!!lol Now it is like $4-$7 to get in a game. NOONE comes to the games nemore cuz they feel its not worth it. Some come to the games still....Me, Punjabi79, as well as others...but NO Hazards pep section is not like it used to be....I WISH IT WAS!!!! I think we will all see Hazard's pep sect. back in action soon enough...prolly at the next girls game...or the next big boys game!!!! Memorial gym still gets my vote tho...jus sumthin bout the history of that place makes it hard to win there.
01-17-2007, 12:43 AM
price of games have went up and i always remeber playing memorial gym during grade school and high school seems like packed or empty the place not the people makes it hard to play in could be the banners
01-17-2007, 12:45 AM
haha...could be....I think it is the fact that it is SOOOO old...and so many good teams have played there!!! plus we're always bangin on that bulldog mat at the end of the floor on the hazard side lmao....that could be it!!

i remember at one point in time going to memorial was the last thing you wanted no matter what if you was playing hazard or not so many great regional championship have been played there in the last 10 years knott pcc 2000 one of the best

that is why It IS STILL the hardest gym to play at in prolly the mountains....Go Dawgs!!

yeah guys, i have to agree, memorial gym has to be the hardest place to play in the 14th region. hands down, its almost nostalgic when you walk upstairs and you see all the team photographs and championship banners, one cant help but think about all the Bulldog greats that have come and gone, johnny cox, jim and chester rose, bill morgan, carl wallace, john hagans, todd blanton, willie combs, i doubt most people will know many if any of these names, but one would be hard pressed to find a better or more historic place to play in the 14th. and as for the pep section, they've been rowdy a couple of games, but i remember goin to the games last year, man, it didn't matter if it was a freshman girls game, there were still three or four raising just a tad bit of cain, i'm assuming those pep sectioneers graduated, because you dont see them anymore, hazard needs to go recruit for some pep...bottom line

Some of the greatest mountain basketball games of the past 50 years have been played at Memorial Gym. It has seen more than it's share of victory and defeat...tears and celebration. I love the atmosphere of that place...the history...the tradition. It's almost like you can feel the spirit of every athlete who has ever played there....like each one has left a little piece of their heart and soul behind. It's no wonder that this place is almost sacred to Bulldog fans. May the Ghosts of Memorial Gym live forever.

I think the pepsections would be better if we didnt play the same teams like 6 times in a season...and the prices of admission werent like $7 for even the students!!! Tommorow night will mark the 4th or 5th time weve played PCC this season...lol...and at $20 or more dollars for a family to get in??? No wonder our fanbase has somewhat died....but GOOD POSTS Larry B and bluengold!!! Now my wish is to make Daniel Field as hard a football field to play at as memorial gym is to play at now!!! haha

well said, ive played in that gym in 7th and 8th grade, it is a great place to play, its alot like north carolina seeing all of the banners everywhere. hazard has alot of tradition, but im still saying the toughest place to play and win is either perry centrals gym or powell's gym. memorial is just a great place to play.

01-17-2007, 11:48 PM
Aiight, U got a better place to play???? Gimme one reason why it is tougher to play there than at Memorial Gym...u cant....haha....!!!! Some may say other places are harder to play, but when our pepsection is in full force and you have to play with all that history, youll see why u don wanna play at memorial. THIS THREAD IS ABOUT THE TOUGHEST PLACE TO PLAY!!!! Memorial is toughest and were talkin bout why!!!!! Besides if you dont like the thread DONT POST!!! Where u from??? cuz we prolly already beat yall....and if not we will!!! We are good...haha...in football and basketball....cya at state man:Thumbs:

i posted this same thread like a week ago!!!

i was at the hazard kcc boys game. it was a close game until kcc had to start fouling. hazard didn't even have a pep section that night! futhermore, the only good player hazard had that night was justin hicks. then, if you get mad every time someone says that there is a place harder to play at than memorial why did you post the thread? i have been to a lot of games. in my opinion the toughest place to play factoring in the team, fans, and refs is Cordia's Jungle. And, no I don't go to Cordia before you go and say that i am.
