What do you guys think will happen to the JBS team, if or when Cox leaves?
01-10-2007, 06:54 PM
I think Cox is better than Stepp actually. If Cox had his uncles coaching he would be leading scorer as well...I shouldnt say that, His dad is one of the nicest men Ive ever met...Also Ive never heard him, his dad,or any of his family sit and say he is the best player in the state. JBS wouldnt win as many games if Cox wasent there, So id say if he leaves then JBS schedule will go down alot

i really dont see this happening anytime soon but if it does happen it would hurt jbs a whole lot
01-10-2007, 07:51 PM
He's what I call a money player, you can bank on him at crunch time ! Makes no or very few mistakes under pressure. If I may add he's also a very fine young gentlemen.
01-10-2007, 08:01 PM
They wouldn't win as many games thats for sure. Cox is by far the best and most talented player on the team thats for sure

Great kid and ball player. He is a role player and will always be at JBS. He will never get the spot light. If he was on any other team in the 14th or 15th region he would be a star.
01-10-2007, 09:12 PM
Tate Cox's dad was voted as one of the 15th region's top 50 players of all time a couple of yerars ago. Must be the bloodline.

I heard he was going to Pikeville next year. Any truth to that?

well how about you take Darius Miller off of Mason County, see how good they are, and then Stamper from Knott, see how good they are, and then take Hicks from Hazard, OF COURSE IT WOULD HURT THEM, thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard, seriously, get over it all guys really, its so stupid to get on here and talk junk abou JBS

No, u act like Stepp is the only one on your team so dont try to make excuses now

Tate is a great guy! And i think if he does leave it would be to shelby valley. To be honest with you i think it would be a great move!
01-11-2007, 02:52 AM
Why would he go all the way to SV?

Tate will be in a blue and white wildcat uniform next year. A member of Shelby Valleys coaching staff already has stated that fact.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

i have never heard so much crazy talk. tate cox is a good quality 5'10 high school guard and that is it. you guys try to make hime out to be a future mcdonald's all american, why dont you all give us a break with all this cox talk and focus on the succes of the jbs team. they are a well coached team with an excellent 6'3" point guard that scores and distributes the ball well, so please give us a break from all this talk of individuals and talk about appreciation of a good team with good kids. there are several other good players on the jbs team, why dont you mention the good play of some of them PLEASE

I agree, and I am sure Cox does. He is a very modest kid that just wants to play ball. I am not sure why the Doctor is so up set over it. Maybe he has a kid that he wants talked about.

I know that he is very close friends with the entire SV team, They play AAU all over the country each summer together.

There is a reason , I think that people do these things, and it is to divide a team by bragging on one to make another player upset. They have a very good team, and need to play team ball to win. If ppl. can make one player mad at someone else then they don't play well together. Look at Paintsville. That is what happened to them. I hope JBS is smarter than that. I am pretty sure they are.

When I started this post, I didn't compare Cox to Stepp, I just simply asked a question. You are the one who ALWAYS only mentions one player when speaking of JBS. "an excellent 6'3" point guard: an established excellent veteran player." You see, you are the one who always overstates. I think both kids are excellent ballplayers. I honestly feel that if Stepp is allowed to play team ball, they have a good chance of going to state this year.

Cox is a fine youg player, but at 5'9 yes 5'9 I don't thank were talking about a D1 player here folks. If I were him I would do one thing and that's get out of Pippa Passes and things will definitely work out better for him.
01-11-2007, 06:56 PM
i think that cox wil go to shelby valley if he goes anywhere thats where he is been playing aau at but i think that he will stay he isnt the tu\ype of player that wants the spotlight but he dont start on the aau team

you've heard of bs haven't you? No way is he 6', 5' 10 MAX. Here's another reason to hate you people. Everyone knows this kid is not 6', but you people keep on and on. JBS people when I refer to you people, in case you didn't know. Why do you want to lie all the time?
