Paintsville-76 Sheldon Clark-61
#1
The tigers played decent tonight. Congrats!
#2
Closer than I thought it would be...Goodjob Tigers:Clap:

This was the second time I've watched both of these teams. SC looks to have gotten a bit better as is Paintsville still doesnt impress me. Before the season started, I was hoping that Paintsville would be good enough to win the region and actually go to Rupp and win the 15th a game or two. I don't see that happening. Maybe SV can do something.

What kind of stats did Landon Slone put up in this game??

Don't give up yet.
They have not even come close to playing their best ball and are still getting it done.
Now....if they are still as three ball happy and no clue on D by early to mid Feb. then I might fall off the bandwagon as well.

Paintsville must have taken 40 treys in this game, and every time they went inside it was a bucket, a foul, or both!!! Watch some game film of yourselves guys and don't look for highlights...take notes on just what you all are doing wrong, then watch it again and count up what you do right.....then compare your notes and just do it right!!!
Not a very good called game again.
#7
Paintsville is way overrated...
#8
All I can say is that I'm completely astonished that Millard Workman (SC #55) is now a legitimate athlete and continued surprising everyone in tonight's game against Paintsville. Millard is finally playing like a big man and I can only hope he gets better throughout the season. Its sad that this is his last year!

Sheldon Clark STILL gives up too many turnovers. They don't know how to get out of a trap. They also need to slow up a little bit, they are not a run-and-gun type of team, they don't have good enough shooters. Slow up, pass the ball around a little bit, boys.

Paintsville played decent, I'm not impressed by Landon Slone, overrated (sorry) and most all of the Tigers have major temper problems.

The officiating was ridiculous, not that Sheldon Clark was going to leave with a W, but it would have been MUCH closer had the officials had ANY sense.

You gotta be kidding!!! If they had called even 12 seconds in the lane on Workman, he would not have had 6 points!!! he layed in the paint all night, and got easy putbacks!!! Even when Paintsville got position on him, he just leaned over their backs and got the board without even a hint of a foul!!! A good called game and Paintsville wins by 25 and even with playing as sorry as they did!
What bad attitude???? 2 kids questioned, questionable calls and were T'd instantly!!!SC kids did the same and nothing called!! Bundy tries to split 2 defenders and one SC kid kicks the ball and is off for a layup and Bundy has to foul to make him earn it!!!
Just hush and buy Hammonds a new pair of boots for Christ's sakes!!! He has worn those same dumbass red ones since he was a JV coach for cryin out loud!!

That's funny twentythree, ask the BIG boys down in Lexington or any of the other good teams Paintsville has played if Slone is "overrated".

Wow.
Uhhh....yes?
If you are gonna spout nonsense that is!I was gonna overlook the part where you said Workman was an athlete!!! Might be a nice kid, but not an athletic bone in his body!! He doesn't move at all!!! just big! Couldn't run outta sight in a day! And you call him an athlete!
Paintsville plays their worst all year so I can see you not being impressed by anyone!! And they still won by 14!
With 4 minutes to go Paintsville had 10 fouls to SC's 2 and you think SC got hosed!!!
Were you even there?
#16
Is the Refs really that bad in the 15th???

YES THEY IS!!

Well I hope the WYMT dont get 15th region refs then

$MoNeY$ Wrote:Well I hope the WYMT dont get 15th region refs then
They are not all horrible!
But I have yet to see a game this year where 2 of the three refs are even decent. You have about a 25% chance of getting a good one with a 2 man crew. So withy this many that are not very good, you get a lot of lousy called games. One good ref can't make up for the rest!

Landon Slone is not the player he is made out to be. He is 6'2 and not athletic and not that quick. When u shoot half your teams shots you are more than likely going to score 20 points. Half of his points come from the free throw line.
#22
I was there and have to say that Piantsville is overrated. T's on Slone and Vanhoose were deserved and give SC some credit the game was closer than the final score was.Every time Ferguson made a shot he turned around to fans and either said something or made some kind of remark. Piantsville is talented and could win this region but my bet is on Shelby Valley. This team doesn;t need a coach, they are that good
#23
Congrats Paintsville
#24
Paintsville will be a hard out in the regional tourney. I still say SV and Paintsville in the finals. (If they don't get in the same bracket)

Be realistic! You know how absurd that sounds!

Let them play on their own and see where they would be in March - at home!
Same with any team in the 15th Region.

Congrats Paintsville.

The part in "red" was the only part of that one post that was posted by "the Ru"... I don't believe it is all that lengthy... I've read and posted longer, but The Guru is know for being able to "cut to the point", "get to it", "cut the crap", "get to the crux of the matter".... in relatively few words.
