I know Dorton plays Letcher at 2:00 and again at 4:00 but haven't heard the opponent yet.

I dont think it is an actual tourney. I may be wrong though. I think it is just a day filled with Middle School Basketball! Should be a Great Day! Hope to see everyone there!

We were told today that Dorton plays Fallsburg instead of Paintsville at 4:30. Has it changed again?

I was told betsy layne plays dorton at 11:30 but im glad they play lexington catholic should be a great game!

First we were told that we played Paintsville, then today it was FAllsburg, then on here it says Paintsville.

We played Lex Cath last year at Paintsville and they beat us, but we beat them a week later in double OT in Florence. Our B team (this years team) was beat by them easily last year at Florence. I think Betsy Layne and them should be a good matchup, though.

*Catholic always brings a pretty good team down. Well coached and a good bunch of kids. Pleasure to have them. Game was alittle rough. But, AB Combs showed thier butts and walked off the court with :47 sec left down like 25.
*Virgie is down alittle this year. But, came in and played hard and left with a win against Adams. Liked the little PG for Adams. Going to be a good ball player. Heck bring him up to the Highschool now, maybe he will listen. Couldn't hurt anything. LOL!
*BL played a pretty good game. They have nothing to hang thier heads about. They have a good team.
*I guess Paintsville only shows up when they play Dorton. LOL.
It was a well balanced effort from the Tigers in both games. It was nice to see the #10 Jackson (PMS) kid back on the court after suffering a broken leg earlier in the season. Tigers are starting to look alot better as the season has progressed.
*If Paintsville 7th Team played the 1st like they played the 2nd, they would have won this one. #2 Sublett finished with 14pts (4-3s).
*Hindman impressed me. They were small, but VERY scrappy and a good bunch of kids. They may have lost, but considering they were much smaller and younger. I thought they did an excellent job and it was a great learning experience for them. Dorton has a 5th Grader on thier team who has to be about 6'1". Big kid.
*Didn't catch the last three games of the night. They were between the Paintsville 5th and 6th Grade teams against, I believe Adams 6th and RW Combs 5th and 6th Grades. If anyones has any scores or details, it would be appreciated.
Can't wait till next year. It was a nice day of Basketball and had a great turnout. Would like to see it held over a couple of days and turned into some type of tourney format. Catholic's Coach said he would be back every year they had it and he loved it down here. Great Job by Mr. Lyons and the Committee.:Thumbs:
