You seem to know what it takes to be a great player, but alot of people on here think its all about who averages the most points per game, but whats these people dont realize, is when you shoot the ball 40 times per game you can average 30 ppg, but the dont look an see that the guy averaging 30 ppg that the think is gods gift to the 15th region is only shooting 15 or 20% from the field...

yea i know thats not what it is to be a great players shooting is only a small percentage of what it takes to make u a good ball player

The Holmes game at the 5/3 played on 12/26.He really showed his heart and toughness. The following day his hand was hurting him so bad that he could not even catch a pass or dribble the way he needed too.Somebody said you did not use your hands to play defense!! I would like to know how that is done? of course you use your feet to beat the other player to the spot but, are you gonna use your head to block shots, rebound,or create steals?? That was the stupidest comment I've heard in a while!!!

idk i mean if you have a pretty hard head you prolly could do all that lol

I've made it very clear that this team is a big disappointment so far this season. Can they regain some consistency after being ranked 2nd in the pre-season?? Time will tell.

Yes they are. I have never said or implied that McCarty isn't any good (not sayin you accused me of it or anything).

I'm not basing my opinion that Landon is the best in the region because he scores points. His defense is 10 steps above what it has been the last two years, and he gets in there and gets rebounds.

The are more good players in this region besides Slone and McCarty. Everyone is sick of these two so if you want to keep talking about them, go to their very own thread at the top of the BGR page. Enough already!!!!!!

I agree!!!! I like both of these kids but it's getting old!!!!

No doubt that Landon is better than McCarty as far as the package deal, but McCarty is a good ball player. But this has nothing to do with JC and Clinton County. And I am sorry for anyone that thinks that McCarty is the best in the state? That is ridiculous. Landon isn't either for that matter. But they both are two of the best in the region and they can score against anyone in the state. But that is as far as I would take it.
JC is having a hard time right now, maybe b/c McCarty is not 100%, and maybe b/c of other problems. All teams have problems they have to work through. I guess it remains to be seen whether Starnes and the Eagles can work through theirs. But right now they have some work to do.

There are better players than these two, and if you looked at the Top 10 players thread you will see that I have a couple players ahead of McCarty. If you are sick of readin about these two then don't get on here, cause you are gonna see it in any thread involvin Paintsville or JC.

Please stop with the 20 or 15% from the field...GET IT RIGHT....
If you want fact ...it's around 60% before he hurt his hand. ABout...45% of threes....and you cant argue in any way, shape or form on that....THATS FACT.

Stats are stats, yeah they look good on paper for this "INDIVIDUAL"...but what are they doing as a team???? They have been playing good of late but still continue to lose ball games....hope they can regroup before tournament time rolls around or it'll be one and out for the Eagles.

:thatsfunn Jealous. Why would I be jealous of two kids who would have barely even played on my team or some of the other teams in the 15th region that year. Landon might have played quite a bit I think, but McCarty wouldn't have.

If it wasn't for you we wouldn't know anything about the JC team and it's players .Wow, if you play with broken fingers, Johnson Central needs you on the hardwood. For real if you go to JC you should go talk to Starns, he needs tough people like you.
I have played through injuries before, I have broke a few fingers. If he actually does have a broke finger he wouldn't be puttin up 20 points, probably wouldn't even be playin. I'm with IRISH, it must not be botherin him too bad.

Doesn't JC have any other players? I mean Landon and Jamie aren't the only two players in the region. What is going on with the other JC players while Mccarty is out, the one that comes to mind is Jaryd Crum, what is his deal? He needs to get his head out of his butt, I mean he plays hard out there but he looks very passive and is a completely different player than he was last year at SC in the fact that it seems he doesn't look to score at all right now and he even doesn't push the ball. He even has the players to play up-tempo with, I don't know what is going on but he is much better in transition and now he just wants to WALK it up the floor. Spud, it's getting old and I'm tired of it!

Broke fingers suck, and NO, I don't go to JC. I never played basketball with a broke finger, but I did play football with a broke finger.

Mccarty vs. Slone is getting old and stale...
