This was JC's 7th game since Dec. 20th, all losses. They are playing good competition but their overall team moral has to be taking a beating. Not sure this stretch of games is good for them, we'll see in March I guess!!

Not a good showing from JC... But that happens sometimes when you play good competition...

This game was horrible! None of the players seemed to have their heads in the game. Hope they can get it together before next weeks district game. Come on Eagles, get it back on track!!!!

plus everyone you have to realize that mccarty has a broke finger i don't know if he is playin and if he is i know he isn't doing much

McCarty doesn't have a broke finger, it was just badly bruised is what he said on the radio last night. He scored 20 last night, so it can't be bothering him too much.

:dontthink IRISH4 how do you know it is not bothering him that much?I talked with him today and he stated that it was killing him.He played yesterday because he wanted to help his team and so he played through the pain!He stated that he could not even grip the ball well enough to shoot it in todays game.He also told me he was playing defense with one hand and thats why his coaching staff sat him down.Hats off to you MCcarty for your effort and contribution in both games.WAY TO SHOW HEART AND TOUGHNESS!!!!

 You're the man/woman cardsfan. If it wasn't for you we wouldn't know anything about the JC team and it's players .
I have played through injuries before, I have broke a few fingers. If he actually does have a broke finger he wouldn't be puttin up 20 points, probably wouldn't even be playin. I'm with IRISH, it must not be botherin him too bad.
12-28-2006, 05:56 AM
well i heard it was broke thats what a realiable source told me but i mean i know it has to be bothering him for him to only scored 20 pts i mean hell the kid is avg 30 some a game

Re-read the post. HE, Jamie McCarty, said it on the radio after yesterday's loss. His finger is not broken, he said it as did the radio guys. Yeah, congrats on trying to work through the pain, if he still has some from a bruise, but you also go to think how much did he hurt the team by trying to play through the injury.
12-28-2006, 01:08 PM
I did not even listen to the game on the radio.I was told this by MCcarty himself and if he says it is hurting him then it is hurting him! As for you Redneck I know more than what you think I do.All you know how to do is hassle everybody that comments on any of the JCHS basketball players! You guys just keep posting what ever you want but like they say talk is cheap! When ever we play your team you will see that actions do truly speak louder than words. GO EAGLES!!!! :1: :letsparty irateSho irateSho

You don't play defense with your hands, you do it with your feet and body positioning..... Maybe that's why the coaches sat him down...

The biggest thing that I see with this JC team right now is egos and a few bad attitudes. There is times that I see them not sharing the basketball very well. They will see the open man and just not give the b-ball up. I might be wrong, but there is some internal problems that needs to be worked out.

Yeah their actions the last 7 games sure would scare any team in the state. 0-7 against world beaters, look out state here comes JC.:notworthy
12-28-2006, 05:11 PM

:thatsfunn He's not even the best in his own region, which is one of the weakest if not the weakest region in the state.

who do you the best is in his region then

As far as the stats go, Landon Slone. McCarty might be avg. more than him but look at who JC has played and look at who Paintsville has played. I don't think Slone has been held under 20 points once this season and Paintsville has played some TOUGH and BETTER competition.
12-28-2006, 05:42 PM
well ur right there paintsville has played better competition but i mean mccarty is a hell of a player so is landon i think it would be a toss up beteween the two

I dont think either one of them is the best in the region... An yes Landon has been held under 20, Im not what games it was but I was at 2 when he was held under 20, an scoring isnt what makes some one the best player...
12-28-2006, 05:49 PM
yea i know scoring isn't its also scoring assist rebounds how they carry there self and there team on the court
