I like to refer to today as black friday, it is the first friday withouth high school football and it already feels like an eternity. Anyne else feel this way??

need another fix? We're still playin' over here. JI Burton of Norton plays for the Group A, Div. 1 title at 4:00 - they have the 2nd-highest scoring avg. (45.31) & the 3rd highest margin (35.36) in the state. Some of you (around Letcher) can pick it up on 93.5 WAXM.

Richlands plays for the Group AA, Div. 3 title at 12:30. We have the highest scoring avg. (48) & margin (40) in the state this season. I'll have the pre-game on at 11:30 (if I ever get to sleep) at http://www.wgth.net (you'll need to download the Shoutcast software if you don't already have it - we don't do Windows MP).

And the NCAA Div. 1-AA (I'm sorry, Football Championship Series) semis are at 4 on ESPN - defending champ Appy St. hosts Youngstown St., which is 6-0 in semi-final games.

BTW, the Bluefield TV station's top 6 plays had 3 from the Richlands' semi-final game up in Roanoke. You gotta see the top play - it demonstrates what happens when the D changes the call from "punt return" to "punt block", and the retuner doesn't hear the audible. : http://www.wvva.com/Sports/index.php?ID=8538
