Attn Belfry fans. I am bringing reinforcement this week. I am bringing the wife. We have been together for a year and a half. Everytime she watches my team playin any sporting event they usually win. I told her that I couldn,t get rid of her cause she is a good luck charm lol.

IMO! You can put all the weight you want on the "D" or "O" line, If they aren't quick to make a decision on what to do,,They are worthless!!! And i can tell you this-Russell had better start gettin those linemen in some kinda "class" to do that,,,or they will Fail!! And another thing, Belfry is a TEAM, We work together as "ONE" any kind of prob's we see, WE! take care of it,Not just one player. And on another note, A lil inside info,,,,We are gonna RUN the ball Right up the MIDDLE!!!!! All NIGHT LONG!!!!!

Tyler Jones-- 9.0 a carry
Darryl Wells-- 8.6 a carry
Aaron Beekman-- 8.0 a carry
Kasey Clark--7.9 a carry
Nick Lewis-- 7.3 a carry

Yea there are other carriers with bigger yards per carry on the team but just a tidbit to chew on

Clark has 191 carries, Jones-67, Beekman-47, Wells-39= 344 carries.......................
NOW if yousubtract the carries from the YOUNGENS getting the ball for Russell (18 kids with 126 carries and add the percentage of those carries to the starters, you get the following stats----------.
Clark- 260 carries for 2054 and 50 TD, Jones 90 carries for 810 and 12 TD, Beekman63 for 504 yards and 7 TD, WElls 52 for 447 and 3 TD....total of 3815 yards from the starters. INTERESTING !!!!

This is "redemption time" for Corey Chapman. He didn't play well last year at Russell. What better way to redeem than lead his team to a victory and a state title appearance.

This has to be one of the longest threads ever for just one week with 224 post so far,and surely more to come.Shows alot of team spirit,pride and tradition between these two schools.Belfry wanting justice for what happened last year,and Russell going for back to back STATE TITLES and third in school history.Belfry the home team at the CAM,I have never been there but heard alot of great things about it,and could be one of the deciding factors of the game.Good luck to both and hope the DEVILS pull off the W.:devilflam

Injury report: Heard that one of the Belfry backs was injured this week and was IFFY for Friday? Any truth? If it is that is terrible,, for a kid to play all season, to come down to the wire and not play in the best game of the year so far....
We went throu that last year when Michael Horn dislocated his elbow in a game and had to sit out....He was our second back and was tough loosing him..... The system is in place and others wiil step up to fill the void. Belfry and Russell alike are a well oiled machine......

I haven't heard anything about this so far... but Belfry definately is interchangable in the backfield. in fact, if one of the backs was hurt I have a feeling it may work against Russell because it would allow Belfry to use some different looks.

one of the backs twisted an ankle monday or tuesday. Don't know how bad yet. might stir things up BUT....... BELFRY WILL BE READY TO PLAY!!!!!!!!!!

This game is what we have all been waiting for the whole year. Chapman has been stepping up big time and is one of the most underrated players that I have ever seen to play at Belfry. This kid is awesome. I know if he keeps it up and May steps it up big time then Belfry will be heading on to Papa John's but it's going to be a hard faught game and Russell will be ready to play. 3 MORE DAYS!

Ok, go ahead and go tell Coach Haywood that Russell is just going to forfeit the win to Belfry.... since Russell has no shot they figured gas prices were too high for them to go when they don't even have a chance. Come on, Russell didn't get the semi-final game handed to them. They earned it. I admire your support for your team but show a little respect. You can show support and be classy at the same time. Some of your other Belfry faithful can show you how if you need them too.
