Police are investigating a drive-by shooting involving people waiting in line for a video game.

Dozens of people camped out in front the Best Buy store on Nicholasville Road. They're hoping to get their hands on a Sony PlayStation 3 console. But the wait turned serious when someone drove by and fired shots at people waiting in line.

Four people were hit by the BB pellets, including 27 NEWSFIRST reporter Elizabeth Dorsett. She was interviewing someone in line at the time. None of them were seriously hurt.

Police came to the store to investigate. They're still looking for a suspect.
Lexington Police say they'll stay at the Best Buy to make sure people in line stay safe.

The PlayStation 3 goes on sale Friday morning at eight. The consoles are selling for more than $600 a piece.

Well its good that it was just bb's, but thats still pretty sad that someone would do that. Yesterday in my 1:00 class, a few of my buddies had went to Corbin Wal-mart and they said people were already lining up.

We called the Richmond Walmart last night and they had chairs set up and all but two were filled and those were the raincheck chairs....I think some places start selling them tonight at midnight...personally I think it's crazy to go sit out like that for a game console...espically the people who have to sit outside in the rain and COLD weather...it's absurd...at least most walmarts are open 24 hours so they can be inside where it's warmer...but still it's crazy. I had to wait in line for one of the Xbox 360's last year when I was in a cast for my aunt...I was getting paid so thats the only reason I did it...it was weird....

This story made National news, Opie and Anthony discussed the event on XM 202.
I will get one after the price drops and they correct the overheating issue, however I have only waited in lline one time and was for tickets to see U2 and that was to help support my education.

It was against the law to have a bb gun when i attended UK, however some people were egged waiting to go to big blue madness last year.

Way to go Lexington keep it up and you guys will soon get a rep like the rest of the state.
