Class A 1-8 for the 2007-08 Season
#1
Please list in your opinion the results for next year in Class A District 1-8. The teams are: Pikeville Paintsville, South Floyd, Phelps, Allen Central and Betsy Layne
#2
Pikeville goes 6-0 in the district
#3
Pikeville

Paintsville

Everyone else

Pikeville 5-0 in district.
#4
Pikeville shouldn't be touched in the district. They do have a tough non district schedule though.
#5
Pikeville will be the 1
Paintsville will be the 2
The other 2 spots will be a dog fight, but i think that Phelps will take one and South Floyd will take the other one.
#6
I wonder of BL fans are ready to come into a district now. I also wonder if the "new breed" starts next year as well.
#7
I can assure you bigpun. The Bobcats will be ready for district play! The new breed started this year and we are building on that.

Yeah really
#14
I would much rather keep Jenkins and Hazard and get rid of the three Floyd Co. teams. Geography won't allow it though.
#15
pikeville should go 5-0 look how easy..
#16
its the weakest district in the entire state...possibly the world..The Football Gods were smiling on Pikeville.

You are finally admitting all of Jenkins' wins this year were against the worst teams in the world?
#18
yeah pikeville goes 5-0 in district next year cause thats a week district
#19
yeah, and if memory serves me correctly, WHICH IT DOES, Pikeville went to the playoffs beating those same pathetic teams too...that was a pathetic quote man, youve got to be better than that...Yes, Jenkins beat them, but before this season they had won what? 10 games combined in 10 years, something like that? Jenkins isnt even in that district, so why are they even brought up in this? I was simply stating, if your smart enough to realize (which I highly doubt) that the district that we are speaking of, you know, the one Jenkins ISNT IN, is the weakest district in the state...and when did I ever mention their schedule? I dont recall saying anything at all about their schedule. So, if your smart enough to use your computer (which I also...highly doubt), find somewhere, ANYWHERE, where I said ANYTHING about them having a tough schedule..because you cant. But, you already knew that didnt you, genius?

Let's stay on topic.

Staff Memo:Jenkins is in Class A District 7 in 2007.
Start another thread if you want to talk about Jenkins.

You say that as if Pikeville's GLAD they're in a weak district?

Playing tough competition only makes you better for the REAL season...

...thus, they've scheduled such NON-DISTRICT "pushovers" --
* Lou. Holy Cross (lost to Danville by fewer than 3 points in 3rd rd. of playoffs 3 of last 5 years)
* Ashland
* Lexington Catholic
* Belfry
* Prestonsburg

Pikeville does good even if its a hard district

I think that belongs to Class A, District 7.

But it's not Pikeville's fault that they are in a weak district. Where do you want them to play? For the Panthers to get into a competitive district, they would have to travel way too far. Other teams just need to step it up and make it competitive :Thumbs:

Find me a District that the Panthers should be in that is within the area. They would have to jump up 2 classes to get with Belfry and Shelden Clark IMO. (not saying that would be a bad thing! But I think you can only improve one class?)

Anything is considered building when you go 1-9. How many distrct games will BL win next year and will they go to the playoffs. Let's hear your predictions coach.

Just keep working hard Betsy Layne. Don't listen to all of the negativity that the same ol' people get on here and try to make your program look as bad as they can! Hard work pays off in the long run, no matter what all of the naysayers can say or can do about it! Wish you all the best!

Don't try to blame it on me because they look bad. They do that on their own.
I have have nothing to do with them losing.

If BL can get the kids out, they should be very competitive in this district.
#30
I don't understand why kids at BL don't play anyway. I know it's been a while since you had a winner but if the kids would come out and play things might be different. If you want to play and just don't want to play at BL then don't cheat yourself from the experience of playing football. Transfer if you wanna play real bad. Or just suck it up and play for your school.
