The Hazard bulldogs will be coming back to Pikeville for the second time this year for round two of the playoffs. Made a HUGE comeback on Paintsville late in the fourth quarter to get the win in OT. Congrats on the win, and a good season to Paintsville.
Pikeville made a BIG statement tonight with their 44-0 W over Jenkins. Great job guys, and good job to the cavaliers for turning the season around and ending a playoff drought. But anyways, Pikeville beat Hazard earlier this year at Hambley Athletic Complex 47-6 I think? Hazard is sure to be out for revenge in this match up! I look for a score similar to the last match up between these two, ill say Pikeville 42 Hazard 0, Pikeville putting this game away early and letting the JV guys get experience.
What's everyone else's thoughts?

Hazard will be very fired up early. Pikeville better not be overconfident or their season will be over. Hazard definitely thinks they are going to win. I've already been told the first game was a fluke, that Hazard won't turn it over 6 times like the first game, and that an upset is coming.

No way a win by 40 somethin is a fluke, I see Pikeville winning by just as much or more this time around

Jenkins said playing Pikeville close wasn't a fluke too. There was a 37 point difference in the second game w/Jenkins. If there's a 37 point difference in the Hazard game, Hazard wins. It can and does happen. If Pikeville isn't ready they will lose.

This is true, it happens all the time, but you can bet Pikeville will not be overlooking any teams now that it's playoffs, they'll come ready to play hard-nosed football every friday night, no early exits for the Panthers this year

Did the 2 boys from Hzard play in this game that supposedly quit. Both teams better come out ready to play. Hazard is very athletic and looking for revenge. I do hope to see Cambell get more carries. It seems like everytime he touches it he fumbles.

I think the bulldogs will play the panthers a lot tougher than they did the first time around. I expect a closer game but i'll still have to go with the panthers in this one. Both teams will come out ready to play while Hazard wants revenge and Pikeville wants to keep their momentum going through the play-offs.
I'll say
Pikeville-35
Hazard-13
I'll say
Pikeville-35
Hazard-13

Pikeville won the last meeting by 36 a few weeks ago and I see this one going the same way!
Pikeville 42
Hazard 6
The spread will be 35 in this match up!

The bulldogs will play tougher this time, but I'm still gonna pick Pikeville by 2 td's..

It's awfully hard to beat a good team two times in the same season. That being said, Pikeville is rolling right now, especially on the defensive side of the football. It's hard telling how this game turns out, but I'm taking the Panthers.

The Panthers need to come ready to play Friday night. Hazard has a good program and even though the Panthers beat them easily a few weeks ago the Panthers can not overlook the Dawgs and I'm sure Coach Jackson will not let that happen. I have felt Pikeville has been the top team in Class A Region 4 all year and if the Panthers come ready to play and take care of business they should add another region title trophey to the PHS trophey case. The Panthers need to remember the spanking that Hazard gave them last year when Pikeville was down and give the Dawgs a beatdown that they will remember until the two teams meet up next year.
GO PANTHERS!!!
I hope to see the Panthers play for the 1st time this year in person on Friday and I hope I see a good showing from the guys in Maroon and White.

They were takeaways, and Pikeville also turned the ball over 4 times--thats what most people are forgetting

Hazard will get blown away if they stay in the 4 front! Can't believe they didn't adjust to it at all. 6-2 WILL WORK HAZARD..SHOOT EVERY GAP! If you stay in a 4, then Harmon will skip to the endzone all night!

I would love to see the Panthers give Hazard "a beatdown that they will remember until the two teams meet up next year" but Pikeville and Hazard may not meet up next year; if they do it will be in the post-season because Pikeville and Hazard will be in different districts next season.

I am saying a 6 is better than a 4! I would make Pikeville beat me in the air!
