Shelby Valley 63 Pikeville 30
#1
Final
#2
Ouch.
#3
This one was a rough one for the Panthers from the beginning. They were just matched up with a bigger, stronger, and more athletic team. The Panthers are just having a down year but hopefully the future holds better.
#4
Congrats Valley!
#5
Is Valley that good or is Pikeville that bad? I have seen them both and Valley is ssssoooo beatable.
#6
Congrats Shelby Valley, hopefully the future does hold better things for Pikeville.
#7
WOW! I definately did not expect this game to be that lopsided. Pikeville has been playing good lately and I thought they would give Valley a better game than that.
#8
I bet beef didnt stay long at that game! I cant believe that score! Congrats to SV though on such an impressive win!
#9
Actually Beef was there the whole time well at least till late in the 4th quarter. I'm not sure if he stayed the whole time.

Not much to cheer about though.
#10
Congrats Valley, looks like they're playing pretty good ball right now.

Or did the play a not so good pikeville team.
#12
Man that's crushing sounds like Valley's D was just terrorizing, that or Pikeville couldn't throw one in the ocean from a boat.
#13
Ouch os correct......Ugly score for Pikeville. Valley could have scored 90 i'd say

Yeah...I stayed the whole game but i was gone within 5 minutes of the buzzer....but an interesting thing that I noticed last night....

At the end of the 3rd it was SV - a lot...Pikeville - 17

Scores for Pikeville....
Shurtleff = 10
Parrish = 7

Sitting on the bench to start the 4th....Parrish AND Shurtleff!!!!!

Pikeville didn't hit a 3 till halfway through the 4th quarter by the JV team..

Oh yeah....I've defended Booher in the past but after last night....

up by 30 towards the end of the 3rd he still had in his starters and was pressing harder than ever.....while Pikeville was already beginning to sub in the JV squad....:?
#15
Another win for Valley. Sounds like Booher was out to make a statement with life after Kiser. I think Pikeville is just that bad. Sounds like Valley should have been playing freshman in the second half even if PHS had starters in.
#16
Wow, didnt really expect this.
Was there any reason Shurtleff and Parrish were sitting out?
#17
Pikeville is having a rough season and I dont see much improvement coming in the future. as long as some certain administration is at the head of that team, Pikeville basketball will have a rough time defeating anyone...Time for a change in my opinion.
#18
Valley had Bently in the game playing the panther JV team with only mintues left in the game...i understand they were trying to send a message to the rest of the region that life without Seth Kiser will be just as good, if not better, but c'mon...they were up 30 with possibly the best player in the region still in the game....that could have been a terrible mistake belnty had gone down.

It was the other way around....Pikeville had JV/Freshman in while Valley had in starters late in the 2nd half
#20
I definately don't agree with what Valley did with the starters in. Pathers showed more class with still playing JV against Valley starters. I also think this kind of coaching may hurt valley in the future as this is the time to get young players game expirence and Valley does have a senior strong team. Get the younger kids ready for next year.
#21
Yeah right... Panthers (?) sure showed a lotta class by sendin the black sympathy reath to SV school on thursday didnt they. How special... Wink
but its all fun though aint it Big Grin
#22
Good point zep, could be the reason for the old fashion a-- kick'n. Did know about the delivery. Need to back up statements like that, pathers didn't.

Heard that Valleys D was intense and Bently was/is a factor there too. Good to see theres more to his game than knockin down the big shots. All round players are few in the 15th. Looks like Valley will be a tough match up for all of us. Cry
#24
Perhaps they would have faired better in a spelling contest.
Tough one for the Panthers.
Congrats to Valley.
#25
I've said it all along Kristofer Bentley IS/WAS the best player on the Valley squad, and he is probably the best player in the region now that he has some D to support that marksmanship.
#26
Whoa. Didn't expect to see that score.
#27
Me either!

Are you sure that Pikeville sent that?? I heard some of the stuff that it said and if I was told correctly I know that it wouldn't have come from Pikeville.....maybe someone who has something against the program inside the school 8)
#29
i dont think Pikeville sent it and i agree with Beef....maybe someone inside the school
