If Ethan Johnson is considered a PG this year I'd say him but i'm not sure he'll play the point guard spot if not the kid at Valley, Justice, would be considered the best PG in the region imo.

:1: Jayrd Crum who transfered to Johnson Central is the best pg in the 15th IMO!!!!

Ethan Johnson from SF...if he plays the point

I would say Ethan may play several spots and but very little point guard.

BasketBallonlyfan Wrote:How can the best point guard judged? Is it the one who gets 20 points a game, or the one who gets 6 points and 10 assist? Or what about the one who does what you dont keep in scorebooks or stat sheets. Isnt it the point guards responsibility to keep his team under control and to run the plays that the coaches tells them to run? Leadership is something that is very importiant for a point guard to have. Does the best point guard go by what his record will be this year or what their record was last year? Then we get into team mates, schedules, ect. Maybe even the best point guard in the region on his team wouldnt be the best on another team. Team chemestry is involved also... just something to think about.
Very nice post! I beleive Jaryd Crum comes the closest to having these qualities. And him switching to Jc, i think there will be alot more team chemistry. Sc has some good players. Im just not sure if they could keep up with Spud. Not a whole lot of people can. Cards will miss him this year. Best point guard in region by far. IMO eastern Kentucky. He has a tremendous amount of quickness, his shot has improved greatly, and his handle of the ball and seeing the court is fantastic. He can drive the ball any time he wants. Anyone know his vertical? I love my cards. But im rootin for JC goin back to state. With Spud i beleive they can represent EK very well.

IMO Adam Slone would be the best point guard SF could play. Why take a natural point guard and move him to small forward when Adam is the best floor leader they will have this year? Do you think they should position players by height instead of where they are the most talented?
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

yea i do think they should position them by height because the raiders does not have a big team at all this year there gon need the big men where they can.....thats JMO

thats where i disagree cuz sf isn't gon have that big of a team u know coach hall will play them where they need height....an IMO adam isn't a better pg then wes but thats just MO

I don't think that Adam is a better PG than Wes either. But....I still think that the best ball handler would be Ethan...but Coach Hall has to put his players where they will be of most help to the team, if that means putting the better leader and handler down low so be it. They are indeed a small team this year.

Yes i am aware of this. Very smart career move on Jaryd's part. Central has much more to offer him that sheldon clark no doubt about that. I will still support him

i agree with you coach14

Adam is the tallest person on the team...so if he isn't the best PG for SF then Coach Hall would have hime playing the Center position or Power Forward if he was putting players in position by height...

Justice from Shelby Valley or Crum from Johnson Central.

Blake Bundy from Paintsville High School, Ive watched him for several years. That young man can do things with a round ball that make me go mmmmmmmm. I dont rise to my feet and cheer alot, Ive done that more for him than any other player. From watching the crowd, he has brought several out of their seat.

When LeBron was in high school he was the one of the tallest on his team and he played pg

Ill take justice for his shot, over crum by a hair.

The PG from Betsy Layne is a dandy. I just cant remember his name right now.
10-08-2006, 11:52 PM
I would have to go with Bundy, he is quick as lightning and can dish the ball like no other. Then Ethan Johnson would be 2nd
10-09-2006, 12:29 AM
Ethan Johnson isn't a point guard
10-17-2006, 11:39 AM
Logan Bryant from SV

Jacob Sword from P-ville is pretty good.

I think Johnson is a forward.

Better not overlook SV's freshman guards. Theres not a better ball handler than E. Justice. And he is known for his steals. He just hasn't been seen enough yet. He will be this year. Mark it down.

Elijah Justice - Shelby Valley
As an 8th grader he was making senior guards look like freshmen in the regional tournamnet. Elijah is the real deal, and the PG spot will be split between him and Logan Bryant, who is another great young player SV has. They will be a good team for years to come, seeing that Greg Newsome is now helping with the high school team, instead of Virgie. With Elijah Justice, Logan Bryant, Taylor Newsome, and Ashley Hatfield, this will be a great team for a few years.
