Renamed: What's your opinion ?

Growing up as a kid in Pond Creek, I lived a very sheltered life and was not exposed to "The World" until I was in High School, Then it was a HUGE reality check.

I never knew there was such a thing as being Gay until I was a senior in 1992, when I heard about it for the first time. Heck, I didnt even know how babies were conceived until freshman year in High School. There was no such thing as sex education classes in school and My parents and family were really religious, So it was NEVER discussed at all.

I moved to Central Kentucky in 2003 and was confronted with Gay people living their lifestyle out in the open...I mean they were'nt kissing or anything like that in public....Being Gay is not kept in the closet here like it is back home. So you could imagine I was in cultural shock......

We're taught by the Bible that Homosexuality is a sin and I agree. I have several "Gay" friends. They're just like regular people, just with a very different lifestyle. I don't think it's wrong to have them as friends, Just let them know it's not your thing.

It's our duty as Christians to teach them God's word, we have that responsibitliy. If they don't accept it , You have done what God sent you to do. But, If you "Hate" them for what they do, your just as much as a sinner as they are. God says that it is not man's job to judge each other.

Hate their lifestyle, not them as people, God loves all sinners and will forgive them if they give their life to him, no different than you and I when we sin and ask forgiveness.

**No One did anything wrong or offended me in anyway. Thanks to all of you who thought you had though, It means alot to know that you cared to ask me.**

I think you are referring to a couple of the posts I posted on here. I dont' think that I have offended ya, but I think that some things I said may have bothered ya some.. First I want to apologize to you. Second I just want to say the gay jokes between me and mario and Beef or whatever are just in joking.. But if I have offended anyone on here I want to say I'm sorry.

No. you did'nt offend me, No one has. I am not Gay or anything, I just have friends who are. They are good people and would do anything for you if they could. I had to learn how to seperate the lifestyle from the actual person. That's more of the perspective I was coming from.

I understand where your coming from BP I have family members that experienced the same things in pretty much the same as you said when they were growing up.

Did I offend you BP....lol j/k I dont think I've posted anything about it before.

But I dont have any friends that are gay, but it definetly more open and accepted here.
