I have heard recently that Shelby Valley will no longer be invited to the "All A Classic" because they are now listed as a 2A school. Anyone have any info on this subject?

How could they be..... the way they keep score in basketball games, they probably have about 2000 students which would make them at least 6A. :dontthink

I have been wondering the same thing for a few years now. Last year, SV was in the All A.

They are in the All-A because it is NOT a KHSAA event and Touchstone Energy uses their own standards to determine who gets to play. But I believe that their golf team was invited to the All-A this fall so I believe that their basketball team would be too.

I don't believe that SV is playing in the All A this year because of the enrollment going up. In the 14th I think Knott Central may be eligible to play this year.

SHouldn't have gotten to play last year. That particular tournament was begun for small schools to have an opportunity to shine.... that's the way it should still be.

Knott Co. is in the all A this year but it will be only for one year. The have I think 690 kids but to qualify for the all A you don't count your Fr. class in the enrollment. We gradusted 150 sr. last year and have 240 fr. this year. The jr. and sr. classes last year were small and it droped our enrollment.
