Definitely about to be some fireworks then. I’ve been told Paris is locked at QB.

He’s not coming to be a back up or a position change, or he would have stayed at Boyle/CAL.

Paris got a legit stud at QB. Skillset is off the charts.
Burke or Hobbs maybe?
Turner?

Does he have anyone to throw the ball to? Does he have a line so he isn’t running for his life? It’s hard to win with one kid
Turner has transferred from CAL. His uncle G. Davis is an assistant at Paris. He will be a good addition for Paris.

Seems like trouble to me is coming. I heard for weeks Paris was set at the QB spot.
Both QBs have family members that Coach. This could get interesting.

So Turner left Boyle…enrolled at CAL…then enrolled at Paris? All in the same offseason?

Word is he got beat out at CAL, 3rd string and was told to try another position and tried and decided he wanted to play quarterback. So now is at Paris.

Your first statement is exactly why I think it gets interesting. I wasn’t going to say why but the next few days will be interesting.

The kid from out of state Wallace I believe would be more better suited to move out wide to help. I think both young men could help this team on defense as well with numbers being down.
So is it Turner, Wallace, or both that have moved to Paris?
I know Turner has moved there. I don't know about Wallace.
Paris is either going to be a glorious success or a glorious failure this year.

Sounds like a lot of promises, a lot of confidence, a lot of expectations, and a lot of looking out for #1... if they can keep it rolling they can do something special... but if one wheel goes off the track this could be a trainwreck.

There is a lot of powder in this keg... either we are going to get fireworks or an explosion out of it.

This to me is adding up like when Belcher and the kid from Cabell that transferred to Paintsville in like 13 or 14. They were arguably the best atheletes on the field in the regional championship game but they weren’t enough. Pennington and Coffman last year showed that two guys can indeed run 1A. But Paintsville was already established somewhat at that point. Paris has a LONG way to go. Coffman and Pennington spent a ton of time together. If people in Paris think they can throw all of this together the week everyone starts team camps, and be an overnight sensation, I feel they will be disappointed.
If what I am hearing is true, 1A Better be on guard the next couple of years. Paris has a legitimate passing QB, And I’m hearing they are starting to get the athletes to run a high-powered passing offense.
No one in 1A is very good at defending the pass. Largely because most of the teams that have been dominant in that class over the last three or four years have been run heavy teams, except for Sayre. Most teams just play a base cover 3, and Sayre proved last year if you get some athletes and a quality passing scheme, you’re going to give 1A teams fits.
Now the question is, did they really get those skill players? They definitely got the QB, and the rumor is they have two receivers that are going to be very tough to guard one on one. It may take them another year, but Paris is going to shock some people this year.
I’m curious to see the names on the rosters when they are finally released in a week or so.

I’ve seen an updated roster and adding the turner kid that gives them 4 listed quarterbacks.

1- senior, 2- juniors, 1- sophomore when the turner gets added and gets eligible.

Sayre had the same kids in the system from the start. It also helped to have two kids from the Covid year that put them over the top ( Penninginton and Slabaugh).

I hope to see Paris continue its success but they will need some lineman to help with that. I didn’t see much size.
Seems we hear more about what Paris is going to be over the years vs what they end up being. 2015 they were 13-0 going into the regional championship game when they played Paintsville and it wasn’t much of a game. Who knows? Maybe this year will be the year it comes together.

Good destination if your goal is to be a district runner up.

Heard the parents was upset cause nobody told them that Rice had left and that the only reason they was coming. The Turner kid is the O-Line coaches (G-Davis) nephew or something like that.
