Pretty much a microcosm of the season. CF'er should have let the ball drop in front of him at the last second instead of diving in order to hold the runner on third or at least have a good chance to throw him out at the plate.

The terrible error by the second baseman earlier that allowed two runs sure didn’t help either. Too much to ask now I’m afraid to win four in a row over three days.

Same old song and dance. So many 1-2 run losses this season. Going to be tough coming from the loser's bracket, but definitely not impossible. It starts today, gotta win one game at a time.

It was a good bounce-back win for the Cats. Like in other games, though, they got the lead and let SC Upstate back in it. Not having Bell in the lineup could be huge if he is still out tomorrow. We have to take this win and carry it over to get 2 tomorrow. We need 3 wins to advance. It's a tough task, but you never know once they get playing.

It’s unlikely, but still doable. As I writing this, West Virginia is up on Clemson 4-2 in the sixth. Hope that holds up, I think our chances of getting two wins over West Virginia is better than getting two over Clemson in their home park. Big question now is do we have enough pitching to handle five games in four days, which is what it would wind up being if we came all the way back.

Gotta beat West Virginia twice now, tonight at 6, then again tomorrow if we get it done tonight. We did it against Indiana in the regional two years ago, let’s git ‘er done again!!

UK straight up willing itself to lose this game. And the dugout antics got old for me long ago. Never been a more painful game to watch at any level ever.

Very disappointing way to lose last night. Had the game in control to give it away twice. Up 6-1 early to lose the lead. Late, we were up 12-7 with 2 outs only to be down when we finally got the third out. Can't remember the inning, but the error that could have been an inning-ending double play killed us. Could have had a 4-5 run lead instead, allowed them to tie it up. Some bad plays late in the game left some innings open for them as well. 12 runs are way more than enough to win a game.

Unbelievable way to loss that game and totally inexcusable. When you get 2 outs in the bottom of the 8th with a 5 run lead and you need 5 different relief pitchers to get the final out. I know this was a young team and young teams usually find ways to lose close games but man this weekend and all year long has been brutal. Hopefully they learn from this and build on it next year.
