2025 Alignment changes
#1
Any big alignment shake-ups for the 2025 season and potential implications?
#2
With Paducah being forced to transfer into the Missouri State Championships for 2025, this should open up 4A for a large group of teams.

Sorry, couldnt help my self.    :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Belfry moving from 3A to 2A. Also Lexington Catholic will be moving from the East to the West in 3A.

The 2025 alignment was set a year or so ago, I think.

2027/2028 is the next alignment. Hopefully after that it will go back to 4 year alignments

I personally like the 2 year alignments. Keeps thing fresh. I would like to see more than 32ish teams in 1A as some teams choose not to participate in district after they find out who is in that district.

PT would honestly be closer to some Missouri teams than their current district alignment 2.5 hours for a district game is wild

Back in 4 classes we had 2 district games every other year that were 2.5 hours away.
Jr year game was in weather delay, didnt kick off till 10pm..... we got home with the sun rise.

PT currently has two district opponents that are 2.5 hours away, and another that is 2 hours.
The KHSAA should look at allowing opportunities within a “home radius “ without ranking implications.

Since KHSAA like experimenting every few years and making districts play first 2 rounds of the playoffs, do no districts for 2 years, allow teams to schedule how they want, take the top 32 teams in each class per RPI, divide them into East and West and play it out until the final or elite 8 then you can go by RPI's of remaining teams statewide. Just a thought

Im so happy none of my kids are into baseball. My friends are on the road with their kids from March-August almost every weekend. Seems miserable
