Way too early look at 4A 2025 Thoughts?
I don't think anyone cares that people recruit and bring people in.. it's more so the "we don't do that, outside factors brought these kids in" that is laughable.

Carter, Hinton bros, Strickland all from Tennessee correct?
JH will have the boys in black & gold cooking.

With that said, keep those eyes peeled.

"all of them due to unforeseen, difficult family situations" Trueblue will give you the details of all of them privately, if you care to entertain his nonsense.  Big Grin

Yes.  A nice one.

Guess JH wasn't happy about not winning a title last year. Interested to see how that will change the dynamic of the team with your starting QB coming back off a great Junior campaign.

The final result-
Regardless of any crying, whining, complaining, jealousy, or any other manner of unfounded third-grade complaints.
YOUR 4A State Football Champs
Paducah Tilghman
With new additions to teams, Anyone have an updated top 10 they'd like to share going into the end of school? ill start

1. Boyle County (W/ new addition(s) pending)
2. Covington Catholic (Lots of production returning overall.)
3. Franklin County (Lots of Production returning on offense.)
4. Paducah Tilghman (Question marks in places but return some good players and have 1 big time addition)
5. Corbin (Salmons has a year under his belt and WV kids are eligible now)
6. Highlands (New to 4A but bring back starting QB)
7. Johnson Central (Tough mountain boys will never back down. Not sure they have the horses they once had)
8. North Oldham (Return QB and a top target. New district should allow them to get to 3rd round theoretically)
9. John Hardin (Returns states leading rusher and under Preston, they will always have a shot)
10. Taylor County (Have some big strong kids, just stuck in the district with Boyle makes things tough)

Many of these teams could be swapped and the top 6-7 teams can take home the hardware if thing go right for them this year. Has there ever been a class this deep even in the 4 class system? Gonna be an extremely fun year!!!

Has nothing to do with who played last year and how they performed. You coach who shoes up and play your best 11 regardless of what they have done/have not done for you in the past.

I can get behind that to an extent, but if a kid has come up through the program, waited his turn and performed better than most expected, I'm sure there will be some disgruntled folks. It may not be in the locker room, but i can guarantee parents and some fans will not be happy and anyone who has coached football knows it only takes 1 problem to balloon into more and more problems. Loyalty has become a thing of the past in the current sports culture that is for sure.

Sorry. Looked at the initial alignment. Taylor/JH will be a battle for that district.

From what I read online the kid from TN just had ACL repair in January with a stated earliest return date of the end of July. That is only 6-7 months recovery time so who really knows as it could be Sept-Oct or later before he is even ready. This seems more like a move for the 2026 season once the current Boyle QB has graduated.

Oof. Imagine he doesn't come back until almost the start of the season or a couple weeks in after all the offseason work the other returning QB has put in with the receivers. That would be awful if it were to happen.

Double-edged sword, without a doubt. Can definitely adversely affect team chemistry. And don't ever underestimate the importance of team unity and cohesion. Add to that, Boyle is a closeknit football community. I'm sure there will be some parents that might take issue with it but, in the end, it come down to winning. If they are winning football games,  it won't matter. Kicking a home boy to the curb in favor of a 4**** kid from Mississippi will only create stink if they fall short of their goal of another title.
Btw, the kid's dad played basketball at EKU (my school back in the day) and his uncle had a drink of water in the NFL.

I have no idea at this point if Coerbin did, in fact, take a pass on DJ in favor of what they already have available. My guess is, that the three -year plan all along was Kid Elam the first year, then Kid Salmons for the next two. Maybe Corbin saw more downside than upside in replacing the heir apparent QB, Mason Salmons, with a 4-star talent who has spent his HS career hopping from school to school. Or maybe it was just more good ol' Daddy Ball for Corbin High School. I don't know. Daddy ball has ruled the day in Corbin for my entire lifetime. So nothing surprises me. I guess we will all know who was right, come the end of November.
Johnson Central is mediocre at best, and has no chance whatsoever.

bbq sauce aside, has JC seen their "hay day" and now they get moved back to the middle of the pack?

According to a source, Franklin has lost D1 RB Jayquan Crawford to the portal. Not sure where he went. Does this lower expectations for them?
Just read on another Forum that Hunter has supposedly enrolled at Boyle and the family has already moved to the district .

In other news, Corbin will be celebrating its 74th NIBROC festival this coming August.

Gosh damn , I hate this wicked little village. The only thing more vile than the little hamlet of Corbin might be these Vienna Sausages(Spicy edition) that I'm swallowing right now.

he is not D1, kid lists a different high school weekly on his twitter. him being listed as a D1 kid, with whatever rankings they've given him, shows how ridiculous todays recruiting is. ive seen links that say hes the #2 running back in the state, when hes not been the #2 running back on the team. i guess if you pay these recruiting companies, theyll try and help sell you. he may look the part, but he is not.

so no, it does not lower expectations.
I expect Baylor Murphy to still be the starter at Boyle and I would think Haddix will have some Packages for DJ Hunter as well, I’m told that the Hunter kid can play multiple positions, in Haddix we trust ?

Little Chris Leak/Young Tim Tebow action? Does that make Haddix Urban Meyer? Now that Boyle has a "gamebreaker", what are their limitations this season if there are any?

I checked today but couldn’t confirm that DJ Hunter has enrolled at Boyle, stay tuned!
DJ Hunter will be taking his talent to Frederick Douglas next season if the Boyle county situation doesn’t come fruition.
