Breathitt 77 Perry Central 61
#1
How’s that coaching change working out for Perry?  Said it all along that may have been the dumbest move in the history of sports around here.  Ran off a good coach, best player in the region and the best middle schooler around in the process.   Congrats

But yet Perry’s coach had the best player in the region last year and I don’t remember Perry making it to State. I guess it took the best player in the region finding a coach who could lead a team and know how to coach. I am actually happy that she is getting to play for a coach who knows what to do with her talent because obviously her coach last year didn’t know how to coach her. And the best thing that could happen for the young middle schooler is for Huff to maintain the head coaching position and not let anyone else try to take over.

I was wondering this same thing.

Historic win for Coach Hayes and the Lady Cats. This post should be about them and not silly stuff that’s history. Did scroll over to KHSAA a minute ago and seems like the coach’s kid had the same stats as last year. Not gonna debate this or that coach but Coach Hayes definitely could be coach of the year. Knott better bring their A game. Looks like two great semi final games. And again congrats to Breathitt.

I agree with this also. Very good win for the Breathitt program.

Perry’s defense was lacking last night and Breathitt played arguably their best game of the season and took advantage of it. Glad to see them finally getting back to one of the top teams in the region after a rough last few years. If they play defensive and shoot that well Friday night Knott will have their work cut out for them.

I agree on the coaching change for Perry being a bad move for the program, not only did they lose a good coach but also both McAlarnis girls and the Feltner girl which took two of the regions best middle school players away from their program. But Knott appears to have a better supporting cast than Perry and that also makes a difference when it comes to winning region. One player can’t do it all and the coach can’t play for them. Owlsey was the better team last year and that’s why they punched their ticket.

That being said way to go Lady Cats on a big win!!

Breathitt played a great game last night. Congratulations to them, if they shoot it like they did last night it’ll be tough for Knott to beat them.
It’ll be tough for whoever wins to beat Hazard in that championship game.
It’s March anything can happen.

Don’t count out Coach Baker and LCC.

Lol…they sure didn’t last night. Very slow moving. Perry shot the ball decently but just couldn’t seem to keep up with Breathitt as far as defensive intensity goes. They were running beside them the whole 2nd half.

I felt like I was at a PCC football game and coach dixon was doing his thing and coaching them up on defense while I was watching that lackluster performance last night. Hearing Taylor Couchs mom was a little heated also and that she may be on the move for next season.

I thought Couch played great last night and from what I remember she never came out of the game. What can she be upset about?

If you’ve got to ask then you clearly don’t know her mother. They’ve been to Leslie, Hazard and Perry and there been issues everywhere they’ve been.
