Where is the 15th region hosted?
#1
I know the 15th is usually hosted at the Appalachian Wireless Arena but I’ve heard some talk that because of all of the resources and stuff for the flood that we may be seeing a regional tournament at a highschool. How true is this?

That's the first I've heard of anything.

It would make sense to move it out, seen a picture posted inside the Expo and it is full , from front to back of cleaning supplies, water, etc.

I think it would be the best decision to move it out, we're talking about a situation where people literally lost everything they've ever had, trying to put the pieces back together and figure out what to do next. It would be insane just to get rid of all the supplies that are helping these people, just to play a few basketball games. That's my take on it anyways, I think it should be moved to a high school.

I have heard the UPIKE gym and I have heard Johnson Central, one makes sense with location another makes sense with size. I have also heard that the supplies might be condensed to the loading dock area for the tournament, but as you all said I have a hard time believing that and think it should move to a high school. We shall see!

Centrally located in the 15th, large amount of seating, decent amount of parking. Very few 15th gyms check all those boxes.

UPike gym has almost no parking. Don't see it. 95% chance Expo makes it happen there.

might as well have it at phelps and make everyone suffer.

Agreed, have always thought this would be the best place for it.

No, because if anything negative happened, their fans would blame Keathley.

I think if it could be played at the old UPIKE gym it would be electric!! The problem is there is no parking and not many seats in there.

Johnson Central is a good option because there is a decent amount of parking and a big gym.

Pburg isn’t bad either but there is not enough parking in my opinion.

While all three of these places are great I think that the expo will make it happen. They’re all in it for the money anyways and this event brings in a TON. So in my head there is no way they don’t figure something out.
