Mississippi State 70 Texas A&M 54
#1
Aggies actually led at the half but it was all Bulldogs in the 2nd.

Mississippi State really needed a resume builder and delivered at home.

This was MSU's first ranked win over a team other than Ole Miss in conference play. They'll have Oklahoma next, and if they can continue their winning ways, it could go a long way in softening the Sooners up before they meet Kentucky on Feb. 26th.

MSU is now 7-6 in conference play and 1/2 game ahead of Kentucky, who'll be in action tomorrow.

I don't think Texas A&M is terrible, and I know they've had injury issues, but I was really surprised to see them on the #2 line in recent Bracketology projections. I think it's much more likely that they end up as a #4 or even #5. The Ags are 9-4 in conference play but still have Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Florida, and Auburn in four of their last five.

Much needed win for Miss. St, especially against a quality opponent like A&M.
