I have a suggestion to the Trump administration about how to deal with sanctuary states that are determined to help illegal alien criminals avoid deportation by ICE.

1. Trump should make a primetime announcement that beginning in one week, ICE will suspend operations in the state of California to allow time for the federal courts to decide the legality of state officials aiding and abbetting criminals in the state. The reason given will be the inefficiency of California's continuous interference in federal law enforcement's operations in the state. All funding for federal assistance to state law enforcement agencies will be suspended until further notice. If the state does not want to cooperate with ICE and other federal law enforcement agencies, then federal assistance will be withheld from state and local law enforcement agencies.

2. After one week, if California does not decide to cooperate with ICE and repeal "Trump-proofing" legislation, then Trump would announce that ICE assets will be redeployed to the other 49 states. The federal government will continue patrolling the California border with Mexico, but it will no longer attempt to apprehend criminal illegals in the interior of the state.

The easiest way to demonstrate that liberal immigration policies do not work is to give California what its liberal politicians say they want. Let them continue to promote their state as a sanctuary for illegal aliens and see how that works for them. Help liberal Californian politicians fail.

I predict that this strategy for dealing with California will result in illegal alien criminals migrating en masse to the state to evade ICE. When the citizens of California demand that their state politicians resume cooperation with ICE, then ICE can shift its enforcement focus to California.

I suggest that the above strategy would expedite ICE's deportation efforts in 49 states, herd illegal criminals to California, and accelerate the Golden State's return to the political mainstream.

I actually seen where Denmark was offering in the trillions to acquire California, even though I know the offer was made in jest over Greenland, I say let em have it…. Use the money toward the national debt and extend the wall from Mexico around California….Maybe OSH and SEKY would even move out there and enjoy the liberal paradise….

As a self-proclaimed communist and a deliberately uninformed fool, your opinion does not matter to me at all. In fact, if you were to agree with anything that I posted, I would immediately expect that my account had been hacked.

As for your insult, I live happily in a very diverse community and most of my friends and coworkers of the past 15 years have been non-citizens. I am 100 percent in favor of legal immigration based on merit and I have no problem with a path for citizenship for those who enter this country legally.

It is easy to take outrageous political positions when you don't have to deal with their predictable consequences. You are the one who would not be able to cope with real diversity and illegal immigrants on your local streets. You are the most fake BGR member in this forum.

I agree with that approach, but every rational American knows that Gavin Newsom and his socialist state government would fail miserably without federal support. I believe that Newsom would blink first in a game of chicken with Trump if Trump threatened to funnel illegal criminals into California. 

I would seriously consider taking a hybrid approach of taking a hard line with Illinois and New York because so much of those states support deporting illegal aliens, and threatening to allow California to drown itself. Deporting illegal criminals is going to be a long process and California deserves to be last in line for federal assistance, IMO. The side benefit would be the destruction of a large number of California socialists' political careers. Newsom needs Trump's help so that he can take credit for some successes. Make him beg for that help.
