Going into District and Region play, who is your all's leaders for " Coach and Player of the Year".

Not exactly sure about POTY.
As for COTY, everyone kind of expected Johnson Central to be a heavy favorite to win the 15th and they haven't disappointed, but I'd have to give the nod to 2 of the coaches in the 58th for what they've done with their respective programs.
Tyler Little at Floyd Central & Kory Thacker at Betsy Layne.
FC is extremely young, only 1 Senior on the roster but they rely on their younger players, and they've got a few that stand out above the rest, but overall they have a great combination of size, and great guard play.
BL is pretty much in the same category, great guard play and with the re-addition so to speak of Kidd, has really turned things around for them. Lawrence will be a tough out in the 58th, but could see a FC-BL District Championship matchup.
I guess you could do co-COTY but in my opinion it should be between those 2, they've done a great job this season.

Don't disagree with you, but at first glance over the 15th..... Hicks and Newsome might be front runners. The only down to Hicks is, it's expected with the team he has. These usually end in a popularity contest. Just an interesting topic.

Kory Thacker would be my coach of the year. What a turnaround he’s made at that program. Such a brilliant young basketball mind.

I think Coach Newsome at Martin County is hard to beat for COTY right now. After losing 4 starting seniors from last year she has still made this team competitive. Her and her entire staff put a lot of work into girls sports in MC and she deserves the recognition for sure.

Take your pick for coach honestly.
Ty Little
Korey Thacker
Jim Hicks
I could make a case for either, Its easy to say well Hicks has the most talent, yea but winning is hard and 20-3 right now is legit.
for player I think its Sophie Adkins without much competition. Has to go to a senior Im not sure anyone else is in her league
