Done this for basketball so why not baseball as well. Who are some teams that should have won a regional championship but did not?

Paintsville 2002
Paintsville 2006
First couple that popped in my head for the 15th.
‘02 lost to an average Pikeville team they had beaten a few times in regular season. Lost either 2-1 or 3-2.
‘06 blew a decent lead in last inning.
Both games in regional finals.

Johnson Central in 2020. The Covid year spoiled what could have been the best team in JCHS history. Had the two best players in the region in Seth Williams and Ryley Preece. That senior class was absolutely loaded with Williams, Preece, Chayce Meade behind the plate, Cody Rice, and Hunter McCloud. Then you throw in a top junior in Ryan Sartin Slone and you are looking at a team that could have won 2-3 games at state. I think that will always go down as one of the biggest disappointments in Coach Hall's career that probably his best team never got to play an inning of baseball that year.

Perry Central (97 I think). Had 3 pitchers get drafted that year in the Little twins and Roy Wells. Also, Perry Central (cannot remember year) Cottongame's senior season.

I hate so bad that year got canceled. Many of those guys had experience playing in and winning state titles in football and wrestling. I don't think any moment would've made them nervous or been to big for them. Throw in Williams, if I remember right, he'd won a couple 15th region player of the year awards in different sports. That year's team would've kinda been like the dream team, in terms of JC baseball history.
I believe we can also put Lawrence Co in the same category for that year. I'm thinking Jackson Feltner was still playing for them that year. Them and JC had some battles vs each other.
Feltner and Preece went on to both have hall of fame careers at Morehead St.

Yes, Lawrence was loaded that year also. Feltner (led state in HR as a junior), Bryce Blevins (Marshall), Tyler Maynard (UPike), CJ Fairchild (Ky. Wesleyan), Will Lafferty (Marshall), and several younger players who went on to have solid careers. The winner of the 15th in 2020 would've made some noise in the state tournament.

Agreed, I remember Lawrence Co was loaded that year too. I remembered Feltner, I knew there was other big time players on that team, just couldn't remember their names. Thanks for mentioning them, it's all come back to me now. Glad to hear they went on to have great careers.
