Hot Seat
#1
What coaches are on the hot seat going into the final stretch of the 24-25 season and why?
#2
Coach Randy Anderson: surviving the parent trap one season at a time—will this be his final encore at The County? Stay tuned! ??

Jason Mays looks like he maybe in trouble again via the post on X known as twitter. He looks to have paid electric bills for an incoming recruit.

Ryan Bonner depending on the KHSAA investigation with Neel and the recruitment of said player by an assistant coach.

Only time will tell.

So that's who that tweet was about, but I honestly should've known. To say I am surprised would be a massive understatement.

There was screenshot of proof about Mays paying for a player’s electric bill. Add that with a frustrating season.
#6
Did Mays ever have any his players live with him?
#7
"No, but in Hoopfan’s mind, Mays probably had a whole squad living in his basement, practicing layups in the living room, and eating all the cereal at 2 a.m. while discussing ‘the game.’ Honestly, if he didn’t have any players living with him, then Hoopfan’s probably planning a documentary on it!"

I don't know about living with him. He does pay for them to live under their roof. Venmo! Really, he is really bad at getting caught. I think he knows the KHSAA isn't going to do anything to him or the school so it doesn't matter. Why not everyone just break the rules. Nothing happens when you get caught anyway.

Can someone fill me in on where to find said "tweet" about Mays and the electric bill?

"THE COUNTY: where it wouldn't make any difference if you paid the electric bill or house payments—kids still leave because of outside interference from 'roid rage daddies.' It's like trying to keep a ship afloat while the captains are too busy flexing their muscles to steer! ?"

THIS IS FUN!!!!!

Meanwhile, Hoopfan’s out here like ‘I’ve got the receipts, the timeline, and the plot twist, y’all just missed the trailer!’”   LOL

Looks like Coach A is feeling the heat on the hot seat at THE COUNTY! ? Meanwhile, Coach J Wallace is ready to step in as the next LION Tamer—watch out, he's got a whip and a chair! ?? With the way the team's been playing, he might need a magic wand too! After the Fairview game last night, & don't sleep on West tonight. A-Town coming up Friday I hope THE COUNTY can keep it closer this time. LOL this is FUN!!!!

Mays loves recruiting
#14
In January 2025, the new recruits Bronbron and his buddy HOOPFAN joined BGR, and the hilarity ensued. They couldn't stop talking about Mays and his legendary love for recruiting. "That guy recruits more than a vacuum cleaner at a dust convention," Bronbron joked. HOOPFAN chimed in, "I heard he even tried to recruit his own shadow!" Between laughs, they also took a few playful jabs at A-TOWN, claiming it was the place where fun went to die. With their witty banter and endless jokes, Bronbron and HOOPFAN quickly became the life of the BGR party, stirring the pot and keeping everyone entertained! This is very FUN!!!!!

hmmm...conversations with yourself and delusions of false beliefs that are not based in reality or a lack of clear and coherent thought process. You really do need to seek a mental health professional KY. I am truly being sincere.

sounds like there will be some movement at williamsburg. Any idea on potential fills?

Ah, HOOPFAN, always the therapist! I’ll take your advice under consideration—after all, who better to help me work through my delusions than someone with such a clear and coherent thought process... or at least, a well-practiced ability to throw shade! Maybe after our session, we can work on your own obsession with pointing out everyone else’s mental state—just a thought!

Not Hot Seat material, but if Hazard wins region, does Al step down? Does he step down even if they don't win?

Al has truly been a standout at Hazard, bringing incredible leadership and skill to the team—his impact has been felt both on and off the court, and he’s consistently proven himself as a key player in the program’s success. So, i would say yes.

K-Y, I would love to have a battle of wits with you, but it doesn't seem fair due to you showing up here empty handed.

As far as throwing shade. I don't do that. I just say what is the truth and it hurts you.

This is so much fun!!  Hoopfan, I’d love to have a battle of wits with you, but I’m afraid it wouldn’t be fair—you showed up to the fight empty-handed! It’s like bringing a spoon to a sword fight, my friend. But don’t worry, I’m always happy to supply the ammunition... just let me know when you're ready to play with the big leagues!

HOOPFAN, if your truth hurts, then it must be packing some serious heat! But don't worry, I've got my sunscreen on and I'm ready for whatever shade you aren't throwing. ?? Just remember, in the game of life, I'm always ready to rebound! ?? And if you need a hand, just call on our star player, STEROID – he's always ready to deliver a sweet assist!

Two names from the 15th you have to wonder about based solely on record and teams under performing season to date.

1. Floyd central with Alan Jo, the talent he has had past few years and nothing to show for.

2. Tommy McKenzie at JC, hear he’s got a ton of pressure from everyone around him. Three coaches kids play, easily have top 3 player in the region in slone and another top 10 player in Shepard, to barely be above .500. I wonder how warm his seat is if they don’t get it together while parents and school board stew over.

That is a good question that I've asked myself. He has had some great teams over the years, and had several opportunities to win the 14th and get to Rupp, they made it in 2020 but of course the State Tournament was canceled due to COVID.

This just might be the best team he has had there, and like I said he has had some great teams, but if they don't make it you have to wonder if he would step down and bring someone new in. Also like you said, if they do make it, no better way to go out than making it to Rupp.

Yeah, I guess they just faked the VENMO screenshot of him paying the electric bill! LOL or maybe Russell doctored the video of Dotson in the gym with Neel at Russell. If that is the case. Is anything real?

Maybe the Powell County vs Montgomery Co video game was created by AI.

Hey HOOPFAN, did you see that video on X (formerly known as Twitter) of THE COUNTY dad being removed from the gym? Do you think it was doctored by AI, or was he really just trying to give the A-Town staff a piece of his mind or jealous that son wasnt on team?

Well from what I heard from the audio that Jason Mays offered money, clothing, and begged that dad to bring his kid to APB which you can still pull up on the internet currently. So, I really don't think it was jealousy. Is that why you are so fixated on that man. You are mad he didn't take the bribe or recruitment offer? I get it now why you are so obsessed with him. I did see that video and I never saw the dad say anything to anyone in the video. But I am sure that audio is not real since it is on the internet! LOL He was removed from coaching at APB and caught again for all this made-up stuff. Man, he has bad luck!

Hey HOOPFAN, it's pretty wild that APB has snagged the last 6 regional titles – 4 with the so-called 'recruiter extraordinaire' and 2 with the 'newbie coach.' It's almost like THE COUNTY coaching staff and players have been taking notes from a 'How Not to Win' playbook. Maybe they should consider a new strategy... like actually practicing or getting rid of the Roid dads sooner!

Yes, APB has done that. WITH OTHER SCHOOLS KIDS. NOT ASHLAND KIDS. Mays set it up and Bonner continues it. This is why we have video of Bonner's assistant coach Dotson going into Russell and getting the last recruit. Hoskins, Smith, and Hughes all got the same speech I am sure. NIL is alive with APB.
#30
Looks like HOOPFAN’s finally admitting it—yes, APB has done that... and by 'that,' I mean dominate, embarrass, and leave THE COUNTY wondering if they even showed up!
