Pbrug 79 Belfry 62
#1
Final. Good win for the blackcats

I’m not sure what Belfry’s game plan was tonight but it was pretty poor. I feel like at times they wanted to double and triple Braxton but others it was one on one which is a mismatch for anyone in this region. Napier played a fantastic game. I think the difference for Prestonsburg tonight was that they didn’t settle for perimeter shots. They drove lanes and scored a lot of points in the paint. We dominated the boards and kept Dials off the glass for the most part. Good win for Prestonsburg. Back at it tomorrow against East Ridge.

How many did Keathley end up with? To beat Prestonsburg you really need to hold him under 30. I know Belfry has been hyped up but they just arn't very good. Prestonsburg is not great but solid and proved it with a win over Pikeville. Thought this game would be a lot more competitive than what it was.

I think Keathley had 45 and Napier had 19. Slone and Allen were right at double digits as well.

Good bounce back win for Pburg, will try to keep the momentum going against East Ridge before a big district tilt with Betsy Layne Friday.

I am usually not one to make negative comments about a team but belfry at times just acts like they don’t care. Either that or they think they’re too good. I’m not sure what it is. But until they fix that, they won’t win anything. Very talented group of young men but they have to clean that up.

As for Prestonsburg, if you hold keathley under 30 you can win but if not it’s gonna be really hard and last night it looked like they just tried to play keathley 1 on 1 the whole time.

Read that Keathley had 47. WOW. Back to back games over 40 pts.
