Final.

Wasn’t really much of a game. Prestonsburg played bad, only hit 2 perimeter shots all game and still was within striking distance at the end of the 3rd. Lawrence is just so quick to the ball from 1-5 that they force loads of turnovers. Unfortunately my son ended up with pneumonia, tried to play but just didn’t have the gas to go 100%. I know many will complain about someone playing while sick but a senior wanting to leave it on the court in what could be his final matchup against Lawrence is hard to bicker about. Congrats to Lawrence though. Great team.

This one was a whooping from the beginning. I never really felt like we were in control of this game. LC used the same formula that Phelps did and doubled Keithley as soon as he either dribbled across the time line or caught a pass in the half court set, forcing Pburg to try to win with other kids scoring the ball, which we really don’t do very well with. Both teams missed a lot of open shots too. Pburg needs to work on a lot of things, but I think conditioning and defense should be a bigger priority moving forward. It was a pretty rough night for the cats.

A D1 type player usually fonds a way to score.

Sure hope the Allen kid is ok, pneumonia is tough to deal with and trying to gut it out and play in a game like that, much credit to him for giving it his best effort, hope he can recover quickly.

Two teams on the ropes at the moment in this district, FC & Pburg and not a whole lot of time left to turn things around as we turn the corner to February.
