Pikeville at Harlan County 1/23
#1
Thoughts? Score predictions?

Idk if anyone Pikeville has can deal with Maddox Huff and Reggie. Not to mention the 13th is way better than 15th or 14th overall.

I know Pikeville got em up here last year on a game winner and some questionable officiating which is a yearly specialty here in the 15th. Pikeville clearly isn't the same team as they've had the last few years, and Harlan obviously isn't the same team as last year without Noah, but they still have a legit scorer in Huff, a do it all type player in Cottrell and a solid supporting cast. Think Harlan defends home court here with ease.

Onkst or Slone on Huff could work, Pikeville has better depth as well imo. Pikeville also has a better big in Walters, i can see Pikeville coming out fired up and maintaing a lead all game

I don't know if Walters is better after seeing the game. Jaycee Carter with 25 points and 11 rebounds on 11 of 13 shooting.

Harlan's complete dominance over Pikeville 89-68 was like a steamroller flattening a pancake! ? As for Justice, is his seat getting hotter than a jalapeño after this game and his 7-5 record? ?️

complete dominance? game was relatively close for most of game, games like this help come time for districts and region.

I was there, early in the game it was competative, but in the 2nd half it was complete dominance lol yes. Sorry Goose but HC cooked the goose, you guys made Carter look like a allstater and your interior defense needs a LOT of work

Pikeville just isn't very good right now. They have several tough games remaining and could easily wind up with a losing record.

questionable officiating is a crazy take, HC shot 24 freethrows AT pikeville, compared to pikeville's 8, and held Noah under his average ppg.

Sorry STAT but true story. Trivia question, who is the only school to beat both North Laurel and Sheppard and HC and Noah in their historic seasons? Little Pikeville.

No but he has been underperforming lately.

After the tremendous job done by Elisha since he’s been at Pikeville the mention of him possibly being on a seat that might be getting hot seems beyond ridiculous to me. In this game Pikeville was very competitive until the last 20 seconds of the 3rd qtr, when HC closed out the qtr with back to back 3s to go up 17. Then momentum was on the home teams side in a big way on the floor that they have only lost 3 games in the past 3 years.

I am aware of that, but not sure how that correlates with the game going on this season.

Not a crazy take, I said QUESTIONABLE officiating, not downright bad, terrible officiating, there's a difference. But whether it be questionable, good, bad, ugly, it is still an on-going issue in the 15th region.

its an issue everywhere in EKY , 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, the reffing bias is horrible.

Like Bonner's seat when APB had a losing record early. KY Jelly you hate on everyone. You really are compensating aren't you!

"The Walters are definitely not happy with Justice and Pikeville's performances lately—it's like watching a comedy of errors, but without the laughs! ?"

Obviously no correlation at all lol. True story I meant was big FT advantage to HC in last year's game and no questionable officiating in Pikeville's favor.
