Hazard 66 Madison Central 57
#1
Final from GRC.

I've pissed and moaned about Hazard not coming out and playing anyone away from home. Give the devils there due, that is a Huge win for them because Central had the size to match up with them. Congrats

Saw this game. Evin Eversole was a problem for Mad Central. He looked injured but still put on a clinic against central big boys feldhaus and asher. Asher, son of former clay county standout stephen asher, had been playing well for madison central but couldn’t buy one this game. Hazard also had superior guard play. Deron Feldhaus was so unhappy with the refs he had to be escorted out.

That’s funny. I’ve seen em play twice and he was a total ASS both times. Really effects his sons play

I wouldn’t doubt it. He is pretty intense. Sits behind the bench. Coach feldhaus got a technical. His son runs like gazelle

I was doubtful of hazard and said you have to wait until they go to GRC and play Mad Central to see their worth when they are removed from refs who go out and eat at applebees. They proved they are a good basketball team, they can beat good teams at a neutral site. Madison central looked to be flustered, and couldn’t make shots. Hazard is a good team, BUTTTTTTTT
the latest ranking had hazard number 5. That’s insane. This is not the number 5 team in the state period. I have seen at least 10 teams better on a neutral floor than hazard. St X, GC, BS, FD, Manuel, Cov Cath, lloyd memorial, BG, Marshall, South Laurel, ashland (now with everyone), and woodford probably win at hazard which is saying something. There’s even more that win on a neutral site. Hazard will have finished the year with 4 games outside the 14th, and will go 3-1 unless i’m missing one. For reference, South Laurel ( the predicted winner of the 13th) will play 11.

Hazard is 6-1 out of Region. Have 2 more out of region games scheduled. Could add at least one more if they win All A region.

I agree. That my friend is the difference in playing for 20wins versus playing to make noise in March. I had been so good and now you bring it out…..Al very seldom leaves the mtns….and it always shows in March. Now for the haters?

You are spot on with your thoughts on Hazard.  They are a nice unit in the 14th, but not a state power.  Nice win over MC, but the game could have gone either way.  MC is just a little better than a middle of the pack team in the 11th.

Up to this point Hazard has won games over Ashland, won the WYMT where they beat Harlan County in the finals, went 2-1 in TN losing to a good team out of Georgia, and now they have beat Madison Central. With the All A coming up if they win (they should but never know) they will see some good competition as well. Not like they are playing the bottom half of the region nigh in and night out.

I was meaning when they play a game located outside the 14th region. In that case they have only played 4. Will play 5 if they win the all A region.

Just curious. Let's say this happens, who does Hazard go after? Who would be their first call?
