Seems like there is a lot of young people talent in the 14th this year but should make it pretty fun to watch their development over the next few years.
1. Knott- they are head and shoulders above the rest of the region right now.
2. Perry
3. Owsley
4. Hazard
5. Letcher
6. Estilll
7. Breathitt
8. Wolfe
9. Leslie
10. Lee
That’s my top 10 going into the new year based on games played. It’s going to be tough for anyone to knock off Knott they are solid. I look for them to be the team to knock off for the next few years anyway.

I’ve not personally saw Perry but their schedule is soft as charmin. May be the softest in the mountains.

The 14th region is probably the weakest it has ever been. Knott most likely has an edge over Hazard, followed by Perry and then several more battling for 4th.
However, someone will win it and represent the region. And to make it to the Rupp court is a big deal for the team that does it. So may the best team win and have fun along the way.

Yep. I agree, excited to see how it all plays out.
12-30-2024, 11:06 AM
But really if you look at any 14th region team. Most of them have weak schedules.
12-30-2024, 11:50 AM
You got that right Wild Country.

Some are quite a bit tougher than others. Perry isn’t one of those.

Unless Knott beats everyone in the regional tournament by 30 then it’ll be interesting one I believe.

I can tell you this, Perry has a super weak schedule. There hardest game will be Knox Central in Feb. I saw Perry play in summer, nothing against any teams but lets just say the 14th is down this year--prob the weakest region in the state. Knott is the best of them by a longshot. And to whoever asked Russell is not very good, Southwestern is also very down this year, and Corbin has 2 average players then dogwater. Good luck to all the teams in the 14th.

Who goes by summer ball scores? Just pick up games if you ask me. WYMT tournament is waaaay to early to determine a teams success. I do understand your thinking. I even agree, the 14th is way down. Don’t know much about the 12th.
