Terrorism in New Orleans
#1
So, I'm wondering what you guy's thoughts are on the mass casualty in New Orleans.

Is it related to the German Christmas market tragedy?  Is it related to the New York shooting?  etc.

All kinds of stories out there this morning.  As usual, it's difficult (for me) to divide facts from fiction.

The convicted felon who will take office on the 20th if they can elect a speaker said it was a illegal. But now we know it was a American born citizen a veteran who went crazy. Here is the story from Fox the MAGA'S mouthpiece.

I wish you would comment on SOMETHING without making it about Trump!

I never rely on just one source, or even just two sources, when trying to figure out a story. I have already read the article you referenced, and I thought it was pretty well balanced. That Fox article pulled from a few other sources, some of those were from liberal outlets.

Not only was he a veteran, he was a highly decorated veteran. I'm wondering if he became radicalized in his Afghanistan tour in 2009-2010.

Something else that confuses me is that the Tesla truck bombing, the New Orleans fiasco and a couple other violent happenings, were perpetuated by people using one certain app for communication. I wish I could understand better what this means.

I think it is very important to let people know we are about to have a convicted felon take the oath of office for president.
No nothing about the apps but i know one thing we have some crazy people in this country, better be aware of your surroundings if you are in a crowded place.

Unfortunately I believe this is just the beginning, if you haven’t seen any of them I encourage you to watch some of Sarah Adams interviews…She’s a former CIA intelligence officer and had predicted some of the things that recently happened….We are not living in safe times right now and it’s time that partisan politics be pushed to the side…Im not sure that we have to worry so much here in Eastern Ky but you never know, don’t have to become a hermit but definitely be aware of surroundings especially while traveling….

Yeah I've never understood nor ever will understand that when something like this happens, people love to make this political, just like one of the above comments. How about we just focus on the tragedy at hand, innocent people were seriously injured, and killed, due to this. It's sad enough the victims families will have to start a new year, and every year without their loved ones, and somehow this has everything to do with Trump or Biden? Gimme a break, idc what side of the fence you're on when it comes to political affiliations, I don't have the answers as to how to stop this non-sense, I'm no expert on these matters, and all I see is "how about we stop offering thoughts & prayers and actually step up and do something to stop this", well if there was something more that I could do, I surely would try my best, but all I have is my thoughts, prayers and condolences to those families who lost loved ones, and to those still fighting.

Not trying to stir the pot with debate or argument here, maybe just some common sense which is severely lacked now a days, it's just sad and tragic as to what has happened, I sure hope not but I have a feeling more incidents will happen across the Country as time goes on, just hunker down and stay safe out there.

So for those of you who think there may be more incidents, does the Super Bowl come to mind?

Sugar Bowl tonight imo should be canceled and the Super Bowl yes is a prime opportunity for these people….If what I’ve been reading, watching, and hearing from close friends still in the military are true ISIS and their agenda’s are no longer limited to the Middle East it’s right here staring us in the face….Anywhere they can kill and have mass casualties is where they will try to hurt Americans….

Ironically enough, Super Bowl is in New Orleans this year.

I agree that terrorist attacks should not involve politics. Unfortunately, there are undeniably political factors that must be considered not only for the New Orleans and Las Vegas incidents but also for the many likely terrorist attacks that will follow.

For the past four years, the already politicized Department of Justice, Homeland Security, CIA, and FBI have been injected with an even heavier dose of political activism. For our national security, all of these agencies must be nonpartisan. The most unfortunate appointment of the Biden presidency was Alejandro Mayorkas as the Secretary of Homeland Security. On Mayorkas's watch, an estimated 8 to 10 million illegal aliens crossed our borders and entered this country. DHS has no idea how many non-Latin Americans were included in the total number. It only took 19 individual Muslim radicals to launch successful attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on 9/11. The likely number of sleeper cells hiding among us today is staggering.

Another factor that will make thwarting terror attacks very difficult is the fact that on many American college campuses, there are large numbers of students actively supporting terrorist organizations like Hamas.

It will take time to remove and replace federal employees who are directly responsible for our vulnerable position but it must be done to restore professionalism and competence to the agencies responsible for our national security. Until then, the FBI and Homeland Security are going to spend much more time investigating terror attacks than they will spend preventing attacks.

The Super Bowl has to be high on the list of potential targets of every terrorist organization. Terrorists are not the brightest people in the world because launching attacks on smaller events away from major cities would be much more effective in spreading terror across the country.

Typical terrorist leaders like swinging for the fences and hitting iconic American venues. Tens of thousands of potential victims attend every NFL game and major college football game played in this country. Our infrastructure, from the power grid to our water distribution system. is very vulnerable to terrorist attacks. We are a nation of soft terrorist targets, which is why it is so important for our borders to be secure.

I wonder every year about the Army/Navy game. All those high ranking military officials.

Super Bowl is about a mile and half from Bourbon Street

I was also impressed how he corrected the record when he inadvertently reported some misinformation concerning the NC hurricane relief effort.

I’d definitely recommend watching in its entirety, one of those videos that only gets better as the subject matter changes, Im not big on videos would rather read but this kept my attention….Id also recommend watching some of the other interviews with Sarah Adams she doesn’t have a filter and her call sign is Superbad, anytime you’ve have Special Operators giving you the nickname like that gotta be doing something right….And I agree if the FBI had spent to the past few years doing something besides going through Melania Trumps underwear drawer this wouldn’t be happening….

The FBI has just issued a statement saying that the truck driver responsible for the New Orleans terrorist attack, acted alone.

They may be correct.

But I'm calling knee deep bull shit!!!!

The same rental app, Turo,  was used to rent the vehicles used in both attacks and both terrorists served at Fort Liberty (formerly known as Fort Bragg). They did not serve at Fort Liberty concurrently, but those are two huge coincidences. Turo is not exactly an Avis, Hertz, Enterprise, or Budget in the car rental world. I think knee-deep BS may be understating what the FBI is shoveling.

I have zero trust in the FBI and even less in the Department of Homeland Security. Both agencies will have a whole lot to answer for after January 20th. Alejandro Mayorkas should make hotel reservations now. His presence is soon going to be in great demand.

Thoughts and prayers to all those affected by this senseless tragedy.

It seems to me that the New Orleans incident and the incident outside of Trump's hotel are connected.

The guy that carried out the incident in New Orleans I doubt he acted alone.  I believe there were other people behind the scenes that helped him,  get to that point.  This just based off of my reading into this.

Idk if I'm getting different stories mixed up.  I thought I read somewhere,  maybe Fox News,  where they had footage of three guys and one lady,  loading or sitting out explosives somewhere.  Again I maybe getting my stories mixed up, maybe with the Germany incident or one of the others.  I've read a lot of articles about these incidents. Thought I'd seen it on Fox, might have been somewhere else.  Idk how to post articles yet.

Totally useless and on brand, as always.

FBI good at:
Raiding homes of President Trump and other conservatives.
Rounding up MAGA meemaws who entered a building and took selfies on 1/6.
Surveillance of Catholics and Catholic church services.
Prosecuting people for praying at abortion clinics.
Investigating moms at school board meetings.
Targeting "white nationalists"

FBI bad at:
Everything else (their real job)

Does anyone really believe anything the FBI says or that they are capable of protecting US citizens? Rhetorical. FBI needs to be totally disbanded, shut down and built back from scratch.

Also, this poster thinks Trump should spend the rest of his life in jail for a "bookkeeping error" (LOL!) and has no problem with the Biden administration letting 400 people on the terror watch list enter the country illegally and who knows how many more regular terrorists.

It’s eye opening and shows what I’ve been saying for a while now there’s ineptness on both sides of the aisle….We need people in Congress that have more common sense and a sense of duty to our country than we need law degrees ….Definitely need term limits Hal Rogers and Mitch McConnell have been in office for over 40 years….
