Good list, like you said there are probably others and I am sure they will make noise during the season.

Hazard has a loaded roster plus a great new coach hard to see anyone putting them away this year

Wolfes setting in the same boat. Could be a battle for the title with those two rosters.

How will Perry do with Meehan and his old staff at the helm? Do they have the horses to win? Meehan clearly knows how to get the best out of his teams. But I do agree that Wolfe and Hazard are preseason favorites. I am sure Powell and Knott will be there at the end as well. Estill lost a lot of key pieces but may be there in the end as well. Not sure what they return.

Definitely agree that all those teams will be in the hunt for a region title . I believe Wolfe has the talent but a new coach who has success in softball , but knows the sport of baseball might be a factor. Perry and Hazard has veteran coaches who have been around the region and know the game. Can’t wait until baseball season.

Estill has new coach but it's someone who's familiar with the program and someone who's been an assistant.

Completely different sports but Wolfe definitely has the talent. As far as top players; Quintin Williams, Sebastian Howard and the Simpson kid seem to be tops

Do they recognize the POY in 14th region baseball? Or Top players of the region?

There will be a 14th region POY

There will be an MVP & All Tournament team picked from the Regional Tournament. I think this is all the cookies they hand out.

I’m almost positive the KHSBCA does a preseason watch list for each region and there is usually a list at the end of the year too, but I cant remember what it’s called or who picks it. I’m assuming the rep for each region would.

I'm sure there is but it isn't near as publicized as in basketball and football. I think last year the player of the year for the 14th was Huff from Knott.

I had forgotten Huff also played baseball. In my opinion , he should have been named the 14th Region Player of Year in basketball as well.

The KHSBCA is compiled of the coaches that pay the fee to be a member, so not of all the coaches get a vote. It’s more political than anything. I agree, baseball doesn’t get the publicity like basketball.

I would like to see the list of the all region team from last year. I only know Huff was POY because I remember seeing it posted on Facebook by Knott.

I’m not sure where to go to get the list. I remember seeing a pre season watch list of some kind that was shared on Facebook. I think it was the coaches association. I don’t ever remember seeing anything other than Huff being POY.
