I think North Laurel may be unbeatable in the 13th, and definitely one of the top teams in the state. To think Halle Collins was there her 7th grade year and started, second scorer on the team and leading rebounder. She transferred to her home county of Knox as an 8th grader. They’re loaded enough the way it is but if she had decided to have stayed there…..WHOA NELLY, as a late ABC sportscaster used to say.

They actually beat both teams, they beat Knott Co. in the morning semifinals, then beat Knox Central in the finals. As long as Nicholson is healthy and on the floor, I can’t imagine them not winning the 13th.

Its always possible for teams to sneak up on you but they will need to be invisible to beat North Laurel this year in the 13th if the Lady Jaguars are on their game. Ihave watched both NL and KC play several times. I knew this would be a convincing win for North. The people covering 13th Region sports should actually watch teams play versus taking a snap shot of their stat books at the end of each game before doing rankings. NL does many things as a team not in a stat book.

In the first round. Then played Knox in the championship game the score was 73-37 North laurel. They proved the 13th is theirs to lose.
