I think Turnovers was the difference in this one. Idk how many FC had but it felt like they turned it over about every other possession. I bet Isaiah Allen had over 10 steals. Credit to BL’s backcourt. They were awesome in this one!

Cameron Pente put on the backpack and said everyone hop in. If he plays like he has been to start the season, it'll be hard to put Betsy Layne away.

Echoing everyone else, Pente has been great so far this year. It’s a long season but he and Watts from Martin Co lead the 15th region POY race in my mind.

It's easy to doubt when you look at the bench and see Mike Howard "coaching them up" if you will. 

A good win for Betsy Layne and in all seriousness, I hope they continue winning. I thought Mitchell gave them a nice lift and hopefully he will remain a Bobcat throughout high school. He could be really special. Same for Howard at Floyd Central. If those two stay in Floyd County for high school, it will make for more great basketball for the county, much like Friday's game was.

Howard from Floyd Central was very impressive. That was my first time seeing him play and he was really nice and when he grows into his body he'll be dangerous. I think he'll be starting by the end of the season no doubt. They need to run some pick and roll action with him and Spriggs and have Boyd standing on the 3 point line for a kick out. A little three man game with those 3 be really good by district tourney time. And then let Buck get his points on put backs and effort plays because he can jump out of the gym.

Started to go to this game, had some other things come up but man I wish I could've made it. Listened to the entire 4th/OT on the radio and it was back & forth the whole way. Pente was a man possessed, carried his team to victory, which that is what veteran players are supposed to do in those situations, big game for him and a great start to this young season.

Despite the youth movement for FC, they've got some athletically gifted young guys who don't seem to get rattled by big or even adverse moments. If this team can keep gelling together, they have the potential to make some noise come February/March. Same can be said for Betsy Layne as well, some great young talent, with great leadership at the 1&2 guards, also throw Lawrence into that group as well. Wouldn't mind one bit seeing 2 of these 3 in the District Championship.

If Floyd central boxes out on the missed 3 by Hall they escape with the win. That 8th grader from Floyd central though is a great post presence. He had to have 3 or 4 blocks.

I think we are the most complete team in the district but games with bl and lc can go either way. Makes for a great games just like this one.
