Ashland Blazer @ Boyd County (12/10)
#1
Well I figure its about time to start talking about this one.

Ashland makes the 3 mile drive to Boyd Middle to take on the Lions on Tuesday eve. This will be their first meeting out of what usually ends up as four for the season.

Its very early and Ashland is without two returning starters, and Boyd without one.

Lets hear thoughts....

Will be a good game. Very much like the Hazard game I believe. APB is not deep with current roster. Great rivalry between them. Boyd wins this in similar fashion like the Hazard game 10-14 pts if this game is in the 70s. 0-3 after Tuesday night. First win will come against Fairview.

The Lions from Boyd County are peaking so I’ll have to pick them in this one.

Peaking already? Way to early for that. Give me Ashland.

I personally have to go with Boyd in this one. Ashland isn't full strength and Boyd is at home and playing well. I have a friend that always says "Boyd's always the best team in the state before Christmas" and I'm not sure he's wrong lol.

What happens after Christmas?

I’m going to have to take Boyd on this one, since Ashland is down a couple of starters.
#8
I'll take Boyd County in this one since they're at home and appear to be playing well. Ashland looked great at the Zip Zone but left some to be desired at Hazard, credit to Hazard.
#9
Ashland has a high ceiling with their roster right now but they’re still learning to play together- they miss Davis & Jennings big

I don't know, just seems like they are always really good early, then everyone else catches up and things even out some

Hearing Hicks is probably out for the game with injury (back) for Boyd County, that's a huge loss.

I would say coaching has more to do with this than talent.

Going to be a great game! I look for Boyd to get this one early in the season. Be very interesting to see what officials are assigned to the game...

He don’t know how to handle losing, it’s always an excuse. Ashland will always be better.

62-40 Ashland end of the 3rd quarter. The Tomcats lead by as many as 25 points in the quarter.

All i’ve heard since November is that “Ashland has no size and Ashland don’t challenge themselves in scrimmages like Boyd County does, Ashland will start 0-3” Jason this performance from your team is pitiful.

Carter locked him up.  He got his points on the freshman at the end.

What’s the timeline for Davis and Jennings to return to the Ashland lineup? They will be scary good when they get those two veteran starters back

The 85-57 blowout tonight at Boyd County was unexpected. Not so much that they won because I think they have the better team, but by the amount they won—-28 points.
