rare opinion maybe, i hate the 1A and 3A game times. I would rather play on sunday than play at noon in this stadium. Never a good crowd in this time slot.

Hodge finds wilson for about 35 on 4th down. 21-0 with 4 min to play in 2nd. Union has to just run the clock out here before half or they will get running clocked. Secondary is getting scorched.

Union has about 5-6 mental mistakes in the secondary, and it’s all on coaching. Secondary is out of position, can’t account for the mobile QB. Union has pretty decent athletes but they haven’t played a spread team with balance since Adair and it shows. Got across the 50 twice on offense but decided to run a misdirection counter not to johnson on 4th down and medium twice. Probably not what i would’ve done.

Wow….Union is getting taken to the woodshed. Definitely expected CAL to win…but figured Johnson would keep them in it for a while. Union looks completely outclassed at this point.

Union really loved those RPI matchups they got. They have to make some sort of changes at half because slow design counters aren’t working against CAL with multiple former D1 players and even coaches on staff.

Sorry i was slacking, union turned over on downs after half but you can tell they had a little bit of adjustments at half. Then hodge moved the ball down the field with ease before johnson picked him off for a 70 int return.

Union has spread it out it out big time in this second half, went away from the misdirection game that CAL was stuffing out, had two great drives. Johnson Scores from 11 out to make it 28-14. Johnson is special when they give him space.

Hodge breaks free again, 35-14. Johnson has made this score much more competitive than the game really is.

Johnson is one of the best athletes i’ve ever seen go after it. He’s makes it 35-21 after multiple broken tackles to get inside the 10 and then throws it in for the score. They got the ball back with a few minutes to play. I mean when i say he is unbelievable to watch he really is. Hodge looks to be slightly immobile from something he’s favoring something since that last defensive drive.

He was the best receiver in the state last year. Moves to QB to replace his brother with nowhere near the receiving core. Account for 59 TDs this year. He’s a baller.
