I’ve saw the post about Boyle asking where do they go from here and my answer to that is right back to work and in the win column. What about teams that haven’t been on top and are supposed to be on their way up like Perry central? As bad as things got for them this year and losing some really good seniors and also the talk of a lot of transfers, where do they go from here and what’s the answer to their problems??

For Perry they need to regroup, refresh, and restart. The program never has been a true contender. Yes, they have had some winning teams, but correct me if wrong, they have only won what 1 maybe 2 playoff games in school history. They need to focus on staying competitive which they did not this season with players quitting and whatever was going on behind the scenes. If they could ever get away from the Boyles, Corbins, and Johnsons maybe they could make a deeper run.

IMO perry needs to just keep grinding they have improved a decent amount these past years and if they continue to improve they will be true contenders in 4A that is assuming boyle, corbin, franklin, and tilghman slow their roll a bit.

They couldn’t compete with Whitley, Williamsburg, letcher, Somerset, or bell county. Why does everyone keep saying get away from Boyle, Corbin, Johnson etc….???? You need to win games that you’re supposed to win and be realistic before trying to do what you’re talking about.

Once they hit district play it goes down hill most seasons.

They need to focus on winning games instead doing things like buying players cell phones so they can track their location like the mafia. Scared to death they will transfer to a better school thay will help their situation

Just hearing through the grapevine they are doing some weird things . I heard they purchased a kid a cell phone and put some sort of tracking app on it just so they know where he is at all times. I heard he was in another county just the other day and one of the coaches texted him and asked what he was doing there. They had a dumpster fire of a season with multiple kids quitting during games, coaches and parents fighting in the stands, etc... Its been said that other players are wanting to transfer next season and this is one of the things they are doing to stop that is offering to buy kids cleats, cell phones, etc....

Dixon is a good coach. No one can question that. However it seems like he has lost the program and the locker room. The stories I’ve heard happen during that letcher co game was wild. They never recovered from that game and don’t know how he’ll be able to get program back.

Rest assured everyone. From my inside sources, things are about to get a lot better. The purchasing of material items is only the beginning. The recruitment process has started and Dixon is taking a page right out of Shannon Hoskins play book. Word has it that he’s got two recruits coming in that are going to be game changers and is going to house them just like Hoskins did tobler and some others. Things are looking up and you’re about to be proud to be commodores again and send the Anchor Down!!

Where does Perry go from here? The best place they can go is to 3A. The biggest obstacle to their success is they play in the toughest class, on the hardest side of the state. Boyle, Corbin, Johnson Central, Ashland, Cov Cath just to name a few that they would need to beat to win a region title. They could bring in Belichick to coach and they are not getting past a region championship in current format. Move to 3A and they have a much more realistic chance at sustained success.
