This will be the best game to watch of all 6 games.

Taking FC in a great game!

Hope Franklin wins by a billion. Hope the flags are flying against the Paducah Blue Sky like a Biblical storm of locusts.

Pt has to much speed I think but I hope to make it to this game

Corbin's radio guy, Barnett, called them the Tornadoes all game long, even after hearing his partner say the name correctly all game long. It was embarrassing.  It's the TORNADO, not Tornadoes. Some people don't bother to listen. Broadcasters should be held to a higher standard.

I was at Kroger field and watched both these teams the last time they played in the championship game. PT lost to Kentucky Mr. Football Isaac Dixon and Legendary Coach Phillip Haywood. Franklin County upset the defending state champions Johnson Central at Johnson Central and was looking to capture the 4A State Championship and on a last play to the endzone a pass was deflected to a receiver that ultimately sealed the deal for Boyle County and Justin Haddix first State Championship and ring. So this year, Class 4A will have a new champion. Paducah Tilghman no doubt will be the heavy favorite being ranked at the top of a lot of polls last week in the state as the number 1 team in Kentucky. Coming off a close game in Round 4 last season against Covington Catholic and bringing back most of the team. No doubt they were going to be a team to be reckoned with. Franklin County has just been solid and playing old school football and tuff defense. They beat Covington Catholic who upset the States top team Boyle County. Looking at this matchup for Friday, I look for Eddie James to slow down the clock and make this a low scoring game. If that is the case Franklin County may disrupt the high powered offense of PT. Paducah Tilghman on the other hand will look to smother the run game of Franklin County and get out to a quick lead. If PT can get in front it may be hard to catch them. PT has only been down 1 time at Halftime to Corbin Friday and came out and scored 21 points to seal the deal. Franklin County just keeps grinding away at you and if its a close game, they are never out of it because of defense. I have watched alot of Franklin County games over the last 5 -7 years and make no mistake about it, They are a team you dread to see in game 4 or the finals. Im am a fan of Class 4A Football and wish both these teams the best of luck this weekend. Its been a fun year.

I am going with my home team.. Those boys have had GRIT > FLASH on their helmet all year, and that's how they play, they wont look the part Friday night... But they play hard as anyone!! PT should be the favorite...Which makes it all the sweeter if we can sneak out with a win!! GO FLYERS!

I'm taking Franklin County in a mild upset. Karma has already taken down Boyle County and Corbin. Karma is one win away from hitting the trifecta.

Hard to pick against PT… they win, 28-14.
#10
Franklin county hopefully! PT is on the same line as Tennessee and Duke is in my book!!
#11
I think PT will have the speed and ability to make adjustments to find the win.
But they won't take Franklin lightly, as they are undefeated for a reason-
Franklin has joined us on the overlooked team list all year with most everyone discrediting our abilities.
-BUT- here we both are, playing for the title.

After watching both of their semi-final games. These may be the most humble teams in class 4A. Just Kidding! Quite the opposite, it’s hard to pull for a team that acts cocky and undisciplined on EVERY DRIVE. I’ll pull for Franklin as they seem to be a slight underdog, but I hope one of the teams learns a lesson in humility.

Franklin has the Defense to slow down Tighlman’s high scoring offense but I’m not sure they have the offense to win the game, if Franklin can run the ball effectively and control the clock keeping Tighlman’s offense on the sideline then I like Franklin’s chances.

Yeah thats a rich statement, all PT and Franklin has heard all year is how we wouldn't stand a chance on even getting there much less have a shot at a win.
I think he must be confused with some other team.

No confusion at all, I did only watch their last game. So that’s what I’m judging on, my dearest apologies! I’m not going to watch it again and count how many times FC & PT congratulate themselves after a tackle, first down, etc. Its obviously a lot or I wouldnt have mentioned it, its like watching NFL & College (ALL ABOUT SELF/ME). Its not every player. Dont get me wrong I like a little hype on BIG plays for my team, but what seems like every other play is obnoxious.  Kids just imitating actions of the next leagues up sadly. Dont take it personal, I see many khsaa teams do it too. But these two stood out after watching several of the semi-final games

For the record, I think PT and FC are very talented teams that I thought could have gone all the way, all season. And I truly believe one of your teams has a chance of winning this year!!

I just notice the teams that act like they’ve been there before, it’s almost a lost art in todays world. I’ve heard rumors that Great parenting, and good coaching help bring it back though.

Moosejaw,
Not sure you should classify all our athletes and fans by the hype guys on the broadcast.
I understand they are very excitable-

One thing I notice this time of year, and I have been guilty of it myself.. some teams talk about CLASS, others talk about their next game... par for the course.....

This should be one of, if not the, best matchups in this years state finals. Hoping for a barn burner and a Paducah win!

PT by 3 tds maybe more

Should be a good one.  Kinda like to see Franklin Co win one.  They've been close here recently.  Ever since they came into Johnsville a few years ago and silenced the stadium,  I gained a lot of respect for Franklin Co.  Even though they just knocked my team out in the semi's. I quietly became a fan of their's.

After watching PT shut down Corbin's offense,  it's kinda hard to pick against them.  In the second half they were making plays all over the field,  on both sides of the ball.  I thought they looked really good.  Had some nice looking athletes.

Kinda hope the PT crew is able to live stream this one as well.  It being for the state championship,  idk if it'll be live streamed or not.

I would imagine the only livestream will happen through the Nfhs/ KHSAA
They usually stream all the state championship games

I believe PrepSpin offers a package. I've always used my NFHS account, but word is it is a much better broadcast. To my understanding they feed it to you directly with the purchase. NFHS receives the feed from them and compresses it which decreases the quality and increases lag. I find it's not worth paying an extra $70 since I already subscribe yearly to NFHS. Plus, the dickhead overlord that runs the other sight always promotes them.

I usually watch them on demand which eliminates the lag. The quality has never been an issue to me, just the inconsistent lagging. Since you're a fan of one of the teams you might consider paying for the 4A game. It's usually around $15
#27
PT's demise would be a fun sight.
#28
If you would have told me this was the state title game two months ago, I would have looked at you with disbelief due to Boyle County's absence. Then I would have picked PT. Franklin looks so tough though. I think this will undoubtedly be the game of the week. I'll give Franklin County the slight edge 22-21.
#29
I am going for Franklin Co. in this one. I like how physical and tough they are every time I've watched them play. I highly respected that several Franklin players came and cheered on Corbin at the State Championship game in 2022-23 season after the two teams played each other in the semi final game. they were in the Corbin student section in Franklin lettermen jackets and I thought it was a very class move.

Tilghman 38 - Franklin 13

Watched both teams. Franklin will need to slow the game down and win T.O.P. to keep it close. Franklin's passing game will need to improve to pose a threat and keep Tornado off balanced.

PT needs to stop the run and force long 3rd downs (force Flyers to pass more).

Good luck to both teams as they chase their dreams.
