Does anyone get together with family or friends and go hunting on Thanksgiving?
Sometimes deer rifle season has been in on Thanksgiving, in recent years. So I'd go deer hunting a lot on this day. Deer rifle season is already out this year. Guess I won't be deer hunting. Probably go squirrel hunting, I do that a lot during Thanksgiving.
When I was younger hunting on Thanksgiving morning was a big thing. Our family would gather and go rabbit hunting, for year's. Then that kinda shifted to quail and grouse hunting. There were times when we'd come off the hill with a variety of game, rabbit, squirrel, quail, and grouse. That's a thing of the past though. Sadly quail and grouse are almost nonexistent around here now.
I'm really the only one out of the bunch that hunts on Thanksgiving anymore. So I normally go solo, the lone wolf. Still fun and although mostly single handed, I don't plan on breaking the tradition anytime
Good Luck and stay safe

We would always hunt our place and theirs Thanksgiving morning. That was a lot of fun times. Kinda funny in a way that we would hunt the same places the day before they would lol! It didn't matter though both groups usually done pretty good.
I haven't rabbit hunted in years. Occasionally a buddy of mine will come up and work his dogs some, I'll go with him. It was always fun hunting with dogs.
I would much rather go hunting the day after Thanksgiving, instead of going to black Friday sales
Hope you all had a good trip and a fun time when you went.
