I hate to even smack talk about Boyle because their fans on here have been top notch, but they won’t have the opportunity to beat PT by 4+ scores. They’ll be watching from the stands just like you. Corbin had their shot. Couldn’t pull it off. The refs did not win this game for PT, and this game could’ve been a lot worse. Corbin had to battle field position all night with terrible punts. I’ll give them a ton of credit though, their defense played phenomenal. That QB is a stud too, as advertised.
Losing sucks, I get it. But no need for you to run down the team who just beat you!

It’s all they got man, another mythically state runner up. Haddix has been the thorn in their side since they ran him outta town. The year someone finally clears the path, they still can’t pull it out. Elam is a great QB, the defense was improved from earlier in the season. But PT was the better team without question.

Just saying, Boyle is far and away the best team this year. They would eradicate, eviscerate, and evaporate Tilghman. Corbin certainly didn't play their best game and still lead in the 3rd quarter until the refs backed them up to their goal line. Corbin just couldn't get the ball to their playmakers. Like I said, a good season , overall. Not our finest team, yet made it to the semis, plus Johnson Central was ass, so that was a happy bonus.

Quisenberry can’t always bail out Boyle. There was warning signs all year with Boyle’s run defense a collapse was possible. Boyle is the best team in Kentucky this season but that was because of Quisenberry’s ability on offense, not so much a stacked team up and down the roster.

Boyle defense got exposed by good game plan/coaching by Cov Cath offense that just ran them over. They could play 10 times and Cover Cath still runs them over so you don’t need to combine all those teams to beat Boyle, just Cov Cath. Who cares if Boyle could or would in some fantasy world beat anyone because it’s Paducah vs Franklin for the title, that’s all that matters. Congrats to both on getting there!
As for Corbin, I thought the offense got exposed/out coached in second half and failed to make adjustments to the ever increasing pass rush of Paducah. Corbin decided they were going to try to block 6-7 rushers with just 5 lineman while running deep routes and either motioning the rb out or a swing route by the RB over and over. That worked first half because of Elam’s legs and his phenomenal performance running. Paducah just kept bringing more rushers in the second half until they could finally bottle Elam up. Officiating seemed balanced to me, I’d have to see yardage totals but it’s probably close if you remove the unsportsmanlike conduct penalties at the end by Corbin. All of the holds on Corbin were the product of them asking 5 guys to continually block 6-7 combined with the QB scrambling. Paducah stacked the box and forced Corbin to try to beat them with screens, quick passing game or some form of the run game and Corbin couldn’t do it and/or didn’t have the play calling to do it. Their screens were effective and they went away from them when they needed it most. I was also surprised Corbin gave up so early, 5:30 to go in the game and you throw the towel in??
As for the season, I think Corbin had a great year and should be proud and not let anyone diminish what they accomplished. Salmons should be commended, him and his team outperformed expectations of most, especially the same people who will pretend this season was a bust.
Last 2 points,
Refs didn’t win this game, Paducah defense did. They adjusted and Corbin didn’t score in the second half.
I think Paducah will beat Franklin by 2+ TDs and it would not surprise me if they don’t win by 4tds

I agree wholeheartedly that Corbin didn't make necessary adjustments and PT did. This is the second striaght year it has ended similarly . Last season, 14-14 at halftime. Corbin fails to score in the second half, losing 21-14. This year, leading 14-10 at halftime, fails to score in the second half. Poor second half coaching, especially with lack of adjustments on offense. Now that Kid Elam is moving on to play shortstop. I hope the Bart Elam era is coming to an end, as well. He just hasn't been good enough in these winnable season ending games. I'm ready for him to be gone.

I think Paducah will beat Franklin by 2+ TDs and it would not surprise me if they don’t win by 4tds
They are right up there with Johnson Central(and their ass fans) in my book. Tilghman's clearly not a very classy bunch, either. Have you ever in your life seen(at any level) a team kick off from the opposing team's 30 yard line after three straight penalties called right in succession? Ridiculous.

Who died and made you a moderator? Boyle's better than Corbin and Paducah 's combined talent.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen as many defensive holding calls as was thrown against PT in the first half. Those refs were very gracious to the Corbin folks. PT just wore out Elam from running for his life all night and that was the difference.

Corbin can’t get over the hump, all them transfers and still find a way to lose. Maybe next year they’ll get another amazing transfer or two?? Hahahahhaha

Everytime they called defensive holding they called a facemask on Corbin to offset it and then back Corbin up 5 yards!???

Maybe they will add Richie's prison uniform to that awesome Legends Museum in Manchester. HAHAHAHAHA

I was thinking the same thing. They always called a Corbin penalty that offset the defensive holding. CRAZY!!!!

First congratulations to PT and I think they had some fine athletes and speed all over the field but I have to agree with the Corbin posters the refs sure was inspired to let them hankies fly against Corbin really killed the momentum of Corbin plus-you Corbin posters talking about adjustments then the coaches should have stolen those yellow flags because that was the killer of Corbin and as a neutral fan I thought it was a bad called game and I watched it too

Not our finest team, yet made it to the semis, plus Johnson Central was ass, so that was a happy bonus.Boyle was a very good team this year. However, you’re clearly incorrect. Cov. Cath came into their home turf and walked out with a win. I’ve said from the beginning of the year that PT could very well be the team to dethrone them. I still believe PT could beat Boyle, I know Cov. Cath can. Scoreboard shows that. Everyone got overworked about the Ohio powerhouse they beat, yet that team they beat has lost 6 games and they also did not make it to their state championship. Believe whatever makes you feel better at night. Irregardless, the drought continues for the Hounds, and the streak is over for the Rebels. PT and Franklin Co will be at Kroger for a dog fight next week! Don’t know much about Franklin other than numbers, but I’ve witnessed PT and I’m a bit biased as they’re WKY. I’m going PT 35-14!

Boyle is 5th place this year... they forgot one thing... how to play defense.... leave them out of this thread!
now back to the game! Congrats to Corbin on a good year!! New coach got this team better each week!

Quisenberry can’t always bail out Boyle. There was warning signs all year with Boyle’s run defense a collapse was possible. Boyle is the best team in Kentucky this season but that was because of Quisenberry’s ability on offense, not so much a stacked team up and down the roster.
not going to prolong the argument but to say Boyle wasn’t stacked is to ignore the truth. Q, Brown, Driver and possibly Kelly will all be D1. Crowe, Brock Driver and a few others will be 1AA. That’s a darn good talented team. But Brown, Crowe and Geno Brown did not play vs CC.
congrats again to the Colonels and good luck to PT and FC in the title game.

Lord quit talking about Boyle. We all know that one single individual that was wearing white and black stripes that night made a split second decision or we aren’t talking about this right now. We are all saying, well there’s no chance “fill in the name” beats boyle. One single person signaled touchback instead of being down or touchdown. If he chose 2/3 options, this isn’t even a thread. this is not a conversation about who could or could not beat boyle, cause they got beat for their first time in 4 years.
The conversation is PT butchered that Corbin Oline due to scheme. Send 7 guys, only 5 to block. Math is math people. Corbin could’ve thrown it across the middle 1 time in the fourth quarter and moved the ball but chose to throw down the sideline 50 yards every time. They hit cima one time over the middle for 15 yards, never again. When both linebackers and an end blitz, the middle of the field on short passes are open. They did it on 3 straight fourth quarter drives, never crossed the PT 40. That’s why the lead went from 3, to 10, to 17. They were outschemed in the second half never made one adjustment period. Did the speed in the back end help for PT, Yes, but Corbin proved they could still be productive moving the ball. But like i said, MATH IS MATH. 7 is greater than 5.

A lot closer than expected. Corbin had every chance to win this game. while up 14-10. When they got down all discipline went out the window and began taking cheap shots and penalties. Corbin cannot play from behind and coaches panicked. No doubt the better team won.
