I talked to Coach Salmons last night. He is a big OSH supporter. He is encouraging everyone in the community to come out and support the Hounds on Thanksgiving Day for a open practice at 2pm and a 3:30 team send off. Corbin fans and everyone in the community need to come out and show these kids your appreciation. Coach said that the Thanksgiving practice was something he did at previous coaching stops. He's big into community and culture. I expect a big turn out on Thanksgiving Day!!!! Let's send these championship caliber kids how much we love them!!!

A little off topic but I just ran to the Corbin post office and saw that the visitor bleachers were half torn down at Campbell Field. Are they still renovating? If so, what’s the plan? The visitor bleachers seemed pretty nice and big for a visitor side. What is the plan?

They are starting Phase II on the stadium renovations. they had to pause it for the football season home games. they are supposed to build it back to match the brick end cap building and the main reason for the renovation is to upgrade the press boxes area for the modern technology being used to work the scoreboard, lights etc. the scoreboard has been only working in a small percentage of what it is capable of doing since installation but is capable of doing instant replays and other functions from what I've heard. there has been a student media team that has been training for several years that will man it for games once completed. they are also building a visitor locker room under also that will make it a lot easier for visiting teams also. I would imagine they are doing some repairs and upgrades to the home locker room in this phase also.

Go ahead and search for some more articles that have come out since then and you will find that it was no more than a couple of parents on a summer travel baseball team sending messages to each others kids. It was just between Tilghman and McCracken mind you.

I may be wrong but I don’t know how this isn’t a shoot out. Corbin had defensive woes against teams with a pulse, and have not seen speed or a QB like james all year. But PT hasn’t seen a threat like Elam either. Especially his power running ability. I don’t think it’s over a 100 points scored like the JC game but anyone saying either team will be held to under 4 scores must not be looking at the pure talent these offenses have. I would hate the be the losing defensive coordinator in this game.

I have no idea who will win to be honest, i mean you get up in the 40s on the scoreboard and the 20s in the wind chill and wild things happen.

I don’t know if you have noticed but the redhound defense has been a little different since jc!! Idk what happened but definitely not the same defensive mindset they had at the beginning of the season!! I promise you they can and will stop PT!!

Went to the Thanksgiving practice and sendoff from Campbell Field. Had a nice turnout. Coach Salmons spoke briefly. He thanked everyone for coming out and said the team isn't finished with what they want to accomplish. He clearly believes in his kids to get the job done. The team left around 3:30 pm for western Kentucky.

I believe COV. Cath. would take issue with calling them the best in 4A, to be the best, you got to beat the best, and CC is that team. I do believe it will be a high scoring slugfest.
