Knox central scrimmaged Frederick Douglas and won yesterday. Any sign of turmoil or anything like was mentioned in another post is gone and they seem to be playing well together. They are a veteran team with several pieces that could quite easily lead them to a region championship this year. Corbin scrimmaged at Wayne, I didn’t see this game personally but heard from some who did that they struggled to get anything going offensively. They seemed to think nerves were a factor. I have no doubt they’ll get it figured out soon. They always have a way of doing that. Whitley scrimmaged Madison central.  A friend of mine was there and said it was a mess.

North is a veteran team with an incredible coach. HC will progress. They’re learning to play without Karst. They’ll only get better as the season begins and progresses.

Rockastle scrimmaged Whitley yesterday and dominated from what I’ve been told. It’s baffling to me how Whitley can be so loaded with young talent and still be getting beat that bad. I don’t understand how a school of that size couldn’t find an experienced coach that could coach those girls up to be a district contender. 50th is tough but there’s no reason why they couldn’t be right up there with south.
