Did Davis end up playing any football? I never heard his name after I saw he was going out for the team.

Martin Co looked awesome is their Red & White game over the weekend. Davis absolutely lighting it up and Watts and Maynard dunking all over the place. Saw some people talking about how they’re not going to be as good as people had hoped but what they don’t realize is that they haven’t been able as a team with football going on. Once football season is over and Watts, Maynard, and Estep get healed up, it’s going to be terror for other people in the Region. Going to be a fun season in Inez.

Worried about Martin County, everyone thought they were the favorites last year too. Nobody is talking about Paintsville and they are hungry. Paintsville is right there to win the 57th and make a run at region. Think It comes down to them, valley and possibly Belfry.

That would be a TALL order for Belfry. Don’t get me wrong they’ve built up a lot of hype with their young players but they had most of those players last season and it was, well Rough to say the least. Just don’t see them running with the traditional programs in the mountains this season. As for Paintsville, I do think they will be right in the mix. They have the guys. Not very deep so as long as they stay out of foul trouble they should be as dangerous as anyone. JC will be a PROBLEM for anyone in the 15th and who I think will probably win region. Martin co always looks good but it never fails that problems from within the core group always seem to pop up and chemistry is thrown out the window. I don’t expect this year to be much different. Hard to have multiple guys who believe they’re THE GUY and have them mesh well.

Those problems that would spark up within Martin Co through the season is no more. This is a completely different team. They love each other and are closer to each other than any other Martin co team since they built the new school. But after seeing how JC looked over the summer, it looks like they are the ones that are going to have an inner core shutdown.

Putting stock in anything during "summer ball" is like depending on fools gold to pay off. Not saying that won't happen to Johnson Central, but I have a hard time thinking Tommy McKenzie would let that happen to his program.

Pretty bad if you ask me. Prestonsburg 4th? I love my team but….ehhhhh. That’s a stretch. Belfry 13th? I’d put Lawrence and FC above BL. Lots of pieces I’d move around.
