Money Mac as he is called bounced a few checks last night and missed some VERY makeable field goals. I was watching with my son last night, he was excited that they came back from 21 points down, as was I but I quickly told him, son this is the Cincinnati Bengals, have faith that they can win but be ready to be let down once again, which is exactly what happened.

Terrible play calling, all starts w/ the HC, only reason Taylor is still there is bc the Bengals made the Super Bowl 2 years ago. Too conservative, and too many times have we seen this season that Burrow gets the ball in his hands to lead a game winning drive, that they quickly go three & out, does not put them in a position to win, especially in clutch time. It is time for a change, starts at the HC & GM.

I’m ready to tap out on this year as well, probably only way to make the playoffs now is go 6-0 the rest of the way, which would be doable I think if you didn’t have Pittsburgh twice. But can’t see us sweeping them this year. What a disappointment this season has been.

Explain to me Comes back from 21 down, but is too conservative?

I wasn't referring to last night, talking about overall play calling during the season being too conservative, actually opened things up last night during the comeback, which was great to see, but didn't matter either way in the end when you have an incompetent field goal kicker.

I wasn't referring to last night, talking about overall play calling during the season being too conservative, actually opened things up last night during the comeback, which was great to see, but didn't matter either way in the end when you have an incompetent field goal kicker.

Late in the 4th quarter when Cincinnati was going for the second field goal try,  I said maybe they should punt and play for OT. 

A kicker has to make those kicks,  at least one of the two,  that's what they're paid for.  College kickers all across the country could make those kicks. Somewhere throughout the country in high school football,  there's kickers who makes those kicks.  I understand we all make mistakes but if somethings your job,  speciality,  your expected to perform. 

Another thing I gotta point out.  When Cincinnati was driving,  before the first field goal attempt,  one more first down,  they could've run the clock out.  They throw the ball for three downs,  all incomplete passes.  They end up not burning much time at all off the clock. 

Even if Cincinnati does pick up another first down and burns most of the clock,  still a chance the kicker misses.  Then there's likely not much time for the Chargers to do much,  leading to OT. 

I understand the Bengals HC wanting to kick and take the point's,  and forcing the Chargers to have to drive the length of the field on the kickoff.  I understand him trying to put point's on the board,  while having the chance.  The guy's gotta make those kicks. 

Think I seen where Cincinnati has like a ten percent or less chance of making the playoffs after last night.  Definitely be tough to win out the rest of the way.

Maybe it was after the first field goal attempt Cincinnati could've run most of the clock out with another first down.  I might have gotten that wrong on my original post.  I do remember Chris Collinsworth saying that at one point lol

The Bengals are probably too cheap to do it, but I’d fire Taylor at the end of the season (or before) and make Belichick an honest offer. If not him, then Mike Vrabel. The Cincy job will be very attractive just because of the presence of Burrow.

Agreed,  Belichick and a really good qb have proven to be a lethal combination.  Plus Belichick is definitely familiar with the division.  NE met both Pittsburgh and Baltimore several times in the AFC playoffs over the years. Believe Cincinnati would be a good fit for him.

I agree. I'd take Vrabel or Bill over Taylor.  I think wholesale changes are need on the staff.
